Re: buying a house jitters
Absolutely! That is perfectly normal to be jittery!
We went through a lot of things we want to do vs. things we need to do. In addition to changes in our lifestyle.
We close in 10 days and I have to say even though I am a little nervous about everything I am so excited. Just the idea that this place will be ours is worth the sacrafice in my opion.
ETA: Everyone always says the first year in the house is the tough one in regards to finances and adjusting to everything.
Good luck!!!

Re: buying a house jitters
YES!!! It is only natural as it is a big investment. The first year in the house is the toughest just because you need to get a hold on how you manage all the bills. It does get easier over time but will be stressful in the beginning!!!

Re: buying a house jitters
Just make sure you can afford the house you are moving into. If you can, that should take away a lot of the unknown!

Re: buying a house jitters
we did that a little. But you learn to budget your $$ more and in the end, it's so worth it. You don't have to change your lifestyle completely, just adapt to your new budget. If you want to go out to an expensive restaurant, go there on Saturday and eat dinner in the house the rest of the week, etc.
