BFP (with question) - UPDATED
Morning Ladies,
Well, I took a PG test this morning and I got a BFP!!!! I used a test that I had sitting in the medicine cabinet for a while and even though I clearly got a BFP, I noticed that the test expired on 12/06. I'm going to take another one later on or tomorrow morning just to make sure but what do you think?? Can 1 month past expiration really affect results? BTW, I'm in total shock

I took another test and sure enough, I got another BFP!

I really don't think it matters honestly. But try another one just to be sure. Congrats!!

My cousin used an old test (like 6 months over the expiration date) and got a BFP and it was accurate.

A friend of mine did the samething and she was preg and it was correct even though it was expired!!!

I work for a pharmaceutical company. For a company to determine shelf-life of a product, they must do stability studies to determine efficacy beyond the expiration date. People rarely throw things out the day they expire and pharma companies need to protect themselves.
I wouldn't trust something over a year off the expiration date, but a month past should be fine.
