I'm back again on this side, with a question already concerning a faint BFP at 14dpo?

Hi All,
Well I am back, I think. This is technically my 3rd pg, my DD is 6 months old. Happy to be back, well let’s leave it as bittersweet.

I had a m/c right before I conceived DD, and with my 1st pg (my m/c), the line never really got dark, then I m/c’d. DD the line was super dark at the same point in my pg as I am now. This pg, even at 14dpo with FMU, the line is still faint.

Did anyone get a faint BFP that late and still go on to a healthy pg?

First - congratulations!!!! Second - I totally understand how you feel - going through a miscarriage myself. Although you and I both know there are no guarantees - I think you'll be fine!!!! If you are still getting a BFP now I wouldn't be too worried! Chat Icon Chat Icon

I never got a really dark line and I'm 36 weeks!! MY doctor always said the darkness can have something to do with dye and how it reacts to your hormones - a line is a line!! Don't worry about how light or dark it is.

are you technically late for AF? I waited and waited for her to come and then tested. I got a line...as to whether it was dark or light...it was a line. And that was at 10pm at night.

Try taking tests at other parts of the day or continue every few days IF you are worried. As of right now, you're PG either way so testing more will only confirm that.

Whatever happens...I hope it's what you feel is best for your situation right now.Chat Icon

Hi Michele,

First congratulations! I have read that tests can vary as to their sensitivity even in the same box. So one test might be sensitive to 20 miu and one might be to 50. I have read the Dr's tests are sensitive to 50 so that won't help much. HCG levels vary so much there is nothing to determine what is normal and what is not. You could always make an appt with your Dr for an HCG. Good luck

I am technically not "late" until tomorrow. So maybe that has something to do with it.

I am anxiously waiting for the nurse to call back so she can fax forms for a beta test. Even then, I don't know if that will be the answer i am looking for. I hate waiting!!!! I such and instant gratification person, i need to know now, yesterday would be even better

I agree.

I first bought a +/- HPT and it was clearly positive (+) but then I read about the line bleeding, etc...

I bought a digital. It's plain and simple "pregnant" or "not pregnant".

I am SO the same way. And sitting here wondering when I'm going to give birth made me realize this might just be the ONE thing out there completely out of our control, which makes it even more amazing. I hope everything works out - I'm sure it will. I can't believe you were here in the middle of my pregnancy and now you are back with number two and I'm still here! Chat Icon
