Should I use OPK's?
This will be our first month trying. We have had a few PG scares so I know what the 2WW feels like. With that being said, should I just go with when I think I ovulate or know for sure? I feel like there are a lot of girls who did the "lets see what happens" and then ultimately got PG using the OPK's. I wish I could just say let it happen, but I think at this point I know too much!!

Re: Should I use OPK's?
I think it is helpful if you are ready to try to get PG and if you don't get PG it is still good to use them to understand your cycle better.

The OPK's definitely helped me understand my cycle better. Before I never paid attention to when I O'd!

I tried them this cycle, I just felt like it was one more thing I could do to be informed. Good Luck!

Re: Should I use OPK's?
I think using OPKs is a good idea. It will give you a more definitive timeframe so you don't keep guessing.

Re: Should I use OPK's?
I have used the CVS, Answer and Dollar Tree tests. The Dollar Tree ones do work!

Re: Should I use OPK's?
i have used several different brands (not the dollar tree ones - they don't have dollar tree where i live, unfortunately!), and i have found answer to be the most sensitive. for example, at one point i tested with answer and clearblue at the same time (literally, in the same urine stream) and answer came back positive and clearblue came back negative. the clearblue did not come back positive until the next day.

Re: Should I use OPK's?
Not only will OPKs tell you if you are ovulating, but they may tell you if you arent. Either way, they can be helpful. I hestiated using them at first, but now I am glad I did because it helped my doctor during our second TTC visit.

Re: Should I use OPK's?
OK I just ordered some internet ones so hopefully they work!! Thanks for all the advice, I think at least this way it's not so much of a guessing game.

I think I like answer the best too (although I wish they had the splash guard thingy)

The ones I ordered online tell you when to use them based on your average cycle length. Mine is normally 32 days so I will begin to use them on day 14 I think (I have to double check!!). When you buy it I would think it will tell you in the instructions!
