Installing A Doorbell?
Does anyone know an approximate cost to install a doorbell?
ETA: I'd need to do the wiring, etc.

Re: Installing A Doorbell?
Do you mean running all new wiring?
If you just want to replace the button and the fixture inside of the house it's very easy.
My DH is not handy at all and he did it in no time last weekend. All of the instructions were pretty clear inside the package. It is just unscrewing two wires on each and rescrewing them again.
If you need it completely wired I can't help you. If you don't have someone who is handy an electrician can do it but he's going to charge his rates to do it... I'd see if you need any other electrical work done in the house and throw the doorbell on the estimate.

Re: Installing A Doorbell?
I have never had wiring done for a doorbell but I would image it would be less than $100. I went with a wireless doorbell which was very easy to install. They sell them at Home Depot and Lowes.
