I got the Diaper Dekor. Baby isn't hear yet, but, I believe Baby Bargains suggested it over the diaper genie. My sister had the diaper genie and hated it.

I think if you live in an apt or somewhere where it's not convenient to get the poop out of the house right away, it might be worth it. Otherwise, I can't see the point. Just throw out the poopie diaper when it happens!

I have the Champ and like it very much since we can use whatever bags we want. I only have 2 hands and have a split level house and it's not easy or practical to throw out the diaper after every change - especially in the middle of the night! I usually am holding the baby or just exhausted or if the baby is quiet for a few minutes, I try to do 10 other things! We still bring the bag down every other day at least, and the Champ does keep the room from smelling badly in the meantime.

We have a bi level house, and even then i wouldn't leave diapers in her room.
I throw all her diapers inthe trash, keeps everything smelling nice and no reason to spend $$$ on refill bags.
After awhile it doesn't matter what you put your baby's diapers in, you are gonna want them out of your house, THEY STINK! Even the pee!!
same here. I buy the powder smelling small blue bags from BRU and wrap the poopy diapers. Everyday the garbage goes out and so does the stink........

we have the diaper champ and i don't really notice any horrible smells. it does use regular bags which is nice. We empty it 2 times a week on garbage days.

i'm not registering for one. and those i know who owns one never used it. they often (and so do I) toss out garbage every night. so the diaper genie or similar products are of no use and take up space, in my opinion. so i could put other things to replace the diaper genie on my registry ;)

No, but I got one and returned it. I just use the little scented disposable bags and toss them in the regular garbage. It's a lot less hassle, I think!

I had the Genie and hated it. It was soo involved to put the refills in. The lid never fit right and fell off constantly, etc. I hated how you would get condensation on the inside of it (yummm....sweat beads of baby's urine and poop ). I gave up and just started throwing the diapers out.
