fever & Charting

How much could a possible fever affect your temp on a BB Thermometer?

I am not sure if I have a fever or not today. Would this mess up my BBT?

Yes- it may raise your BBT, BUT just one "out of wack" temp shouldn't change a temp shift pattern. I think TCOYF calls it "Rule of Thumb"- you may need to just omit that one temp if it really throws you off.

Where are you in your cycle?

Re: fever & Charting

I am 11 DPO and I noticed a HUGE jump today. I have a bit of a sore throat so I thought it was possible that I may have had a fever this morning.

It went from 98.3 yesterday to 99.4 today. I never ever go that high...

Re: fever & Charting

I may not be the most reliable source -- my charts are not regular yet -- but I had the flu and a slight temp for a few days last month and it did cause a weird spike --

my high temps usually go up as high as 98.3 or .4 and when I was sick I went up to 98.7. Also I didn't know I had the fever when I first recorded the high temp.

It's possible you have a fever. BUT, since you are days past O, and you are still above the coverline, that temp isn't really that important in the grand scheme of things.
