Baptism Party - which hero?
DD is being baptized on Sunday. We're keeping it very small - just grandparents, great grandparents, and her God Parents. Its about 15 people total. We're having everyone back to our house for cake afterwards and decided to also get a 3-foot hero. DD's Godmother is pregnant and won't eat cold cuts AT ALL, so we're not sure which of these options to go with.
Italian combo hero + tossed salad (Godmother will eat the salad)
Grilled chicken hero (with mozzarella and roasted peppers)
Which do you think more people would enjoy?

Re: Baptism Party - which hero?
Personally I would like the grilled chicken one but I don't really eat cold cuts.
I think everyone would enjoy the chicken one.

Re: Baptism Party - which hero?
If it was a regular cold cuts like ham and turkey, i'd say that.
I don't like Italian heros with the stinky cheese and the overly processes meats like salami, etc
So I'd go chicken in this case

Re: Baptism Party - which hero?
I'm pregnant. Cold cuts gross me out so I guess I'd say the grilled chicken but pregnant women are told not to have fresh mozzarella either due to the possibility of listeria. I'm sure the grilled chicken sandwich will also be cut in the same boards they cut the cold cuts on so idk.

Can you request half and half? I've done this several times with 6 ft heros so assuming you can do it with the 3 ft one as well.

I would do the chicken, it's more filling as a meal because you can even pull off the bread and eat.
Even though fresh mozz is most likely fine made here where we used pasteurized milk and I highly doubt any deli or supermarket you're getting it from is using otherwise she can heat it up and have a melted mozz and chix sandwich!

Re: Baptism Party - which hero?
Sometimes instead of heros we are order wraps. You can pick different types and even do a veggie one that might appeal to her.

Re: Baptism Party - which hero?
I'd say the chicken. I think more people would like it and no cold cuts for the godmother. Fresh mozzarella would only be a problem for her if it's unpasteurized, which I'm sure it isn't. I would just check that with the deli.
I like the assorted wraps idea too. That way people can pick what they like.

Re: Baptism Party - which hero?
Grilled Chicken. Check with her godmother about the mozzarella. Maybe they can leave it off 2 pieces at the end so she is ok to eat it.

Re: Baptism Party - which hero?
It's very hard to find Unpasteurized cheese in the US. Especially on a 3 foot hero from a deli
If you want to get technical pregnant women can't eat anything- because...listeria. God knows it's in everything EXCEPT cold cuts lately.

I don't like the Italian heros, so I'd do the other one.

The grilled chicken hero, I've done that many times and everyone loves it! It goes over so much better than cold cuts.

I wouldn't eat either being pregnant so if you are factoring in her choices, get whatever sandwich you want, and a salad to be safe.

I'd pick the grilled chicken but if the Godmother won't eat either one, I'd get her something different. She is after all, the Godmother.

I should be thankful I had HE when I was pregnant because I couldn't eat anything. There is no listeria in starvation.
OP, I wouldn't do either. I would get a platter of sandwiches/wraps so everyone can choose their own.
