Baptism party (BBQ) question

We're talking about having the party at our home.

Can those who have had parties at home tell me, how do you figure how much food to get? We're going to have a traditional Argentine BBQ (DH is from Argentina), which is more than just burgers and dogs. I am trying to figure out the approx cost of everything, but not sure how to guestimate how much food we'll get/need. Same thing with soda/beer/juice/water.

we are having ours at home as well and so far it is about 1000.00 for everything,......
