Would this annoy you?
How does it happen? I leave the room and she has gotten out the broom.or the dust cloth and is cleaning away. I say I just want you to visit with me and enjoy the house as a guest. Her response is it is dirty, I am trying to help. It is a vicious circle and I end up feeling guilty for not accepting.the help.that I.didn't want or ask for :(

It depends On who it is and what the circumstance is.
I clean when I babysit for people. If the kid is napping or entertained by a show for the moment, I'll dust or clean up the kitchen. Anything to help their mom out a bit.
But I wouldn't literally walk into someones house with them standing there and grab the vacuum.
That's rude

See i hate cleaning so you would think I would LOVE this but IMO it's not about the actual cleaning and less for me to do- it's about boundaries and privacy.
I would never go into another persons home and touch things or start cleaning- even my sister or mom.
Unless they asked me to, IMO it's just rude and overstepping
Exactly this! I would love for someone to ask me if they can come and help me clean because they know I don't have the time to do it, but to walk in and then just start cleaning because they think my home is "dirty" is just downright rude.

At 34 weeks pregnant, not only would that NOT annoy me in the least, I would welcome it and hope they do the bathroom too.

Yes, this bothers me, depending on the situation. If they just come in and start cleaning, it annoys the H*LL out of me!! Someone used to come and empty my dishwasher when they would come over - after I told them not to. I wouldn't be able to find anything!! Now I make sure the dishwasher is dirty when they come over.
BUT, if I'm sick and they are coming to help, such as make dinner, I have no problem with them cleaning up after dinner and cleaning up the kitchen. But if they start wiping stuff down for no reason, I FREAK!

See this is rude. You've asked them to stop and they keep going. I can see why you'd be annoyed.

Oh yeah, would totally annoy me. DH and I are pretty meticulous as it is but if someone came in and cleaned without asking, I'd ask them what the fck are they doing?

Honest opinions welcome . Would you be annoyed if a a family member entered your house and started cleaning ( dusting, sweeping, arranging things without asking you if it was okay ?
Most of the time they are implying you don't keep a clean house. THAT is what would piss me off.

For the most part yes but in certain instances no.
For example last week my grandpa was very sick and we were leaving for vacation. Things were crazy and I couldn't get my house as clean as I would like before I left. My SIl happened to be staying at our house for a night while we were gone and she cleaned my house a bit. She knew it was a possibility my gpa could pass and didn't want me to have any extra work.
So grateful she did! My gpa wound up passing away the day after we got home and we have had a house full of people all week.

Doesn't annoy me, mil does this but she's being helpful, I have a cleaning lady and keep a clean house but she always finds something to do, she's the same in her own house, lots of energy

See thisnwould not bother me because to me maybe she dropped something or saw a pile of dirt and wanted to help out. Ill do that at my parents or brothers house just to be helpful.
If she was making my beds, wiping down the bathroom stuff like that it would bother me a lot.
Its not a privacy thing for me its moe of do they think i cant keep my house clean type/ Im not good enough of a feeling

Yes. My mom does this sometimes & I find myself losing my patience. Although I know she's just trying to be helpful but it can also come across as controlling.
