BBQ today - just venting
We have a BBQ today at one of DH's friend's.
I hate the heat.
I am DREADING it.
DH said he knows we are going to be outside because there are too many of us.
I would skip it but DH would be pissed and I want to be with my son anyway.
But I would rather clean my bathroom with a toothbrush.
Ok vent over.

I went to one yesterday around 5 pm. just stay in the shade! It was comfortable and by 6:30-7 it cooled down a lot! I almost got my sweater from the car lol

We went to one yesterday and I was dreading the heat. I stayed indoors 90% of the time.

Ugh I had a party with 70 people yesterday that started at 1pm! It was bad! The older people stayed inside, but I definitely couldn't fit everyone inside.

In this type of situation I would at least push back my arrival time. If it starts at 2, I would probably get there at 3 or 3:30.

We had a bbq later yesterday (5-5:30) and by then it wasn't too bad. Hopefully, you can stay in the shade.

We had one today at 2 and it was brutal. My DS was sweating so much DH and I rotated between staying inside with him. I was worried about him getting overheated. He drank so much water today thank goodness

We went to one yesterday as well that started at 2, but I didn't want to keep my baby out in the heat all day, so we got there more like 4 and only stayed a couple hours. It was ridiculously hot.
