If you won the Lottery...
We've all fantasized about buying houses, expensive cars, massive trips, etc, if we won a massive Lottery prize.
What's the first "practical" thing you think you might splurge on if you won a few hundred million. Something that you might possibly buy now, but just can't quite justify it.
I would buy new fencing for my yard. It's falling apart, and I'm thinking of getting it replaced, and it's kind of in my budget, but I'm still hesitating on going ahead with it.
Even if I sold my house to move somewhere bigger, I'd want to replace the fence to make it sell easier.

We'd renovate our kitchen and our driveway right away.
Then we'd buy a boat. We had to sell ours to buy the house and we miss it dearly.

I would finish my upstairs and do a few small renovations to my current home to get the best profit, then I would sell it and move into a bigger house

of course, after i pay off my small debt and buy a small townhouse.

Pay off my mortgage and bills, sell my house or give it to a family member. Buy a slightly bigger house but nothing crazy.

If you won the Lottery...
I guess it depends on how much I won. If it's multi-million then I would get a different house. If it was several hundred thousand, then I would do some nice landscaping in the backyard and pay off the 2 cars, then put the rest away for retirement.

There would be nothing practical about my spending 
Except that I'd probably do a lot of work on my parents house and try to convince them to sell and move closer to me. Though they have the money to do it now and choose not to

Put in irrigation for our yard
Gut and dormer our house
Put in a pool and paver patio
Pay off our car
Pay off our house
Get a condo in Florida
In that order. It's all going to happen anyway, but it would be nice for the lotto to pay for it lol

Pay off my credit cards, then set up a college fund for DS.
After that, buy three houses next to each other, one for us, one for my parents/brother, and one for my in-laws.

If I won lottery I would:
1) Pay off all of my debt
2) Move out of NY to someplace a little less crowded and slower paced
3) Buy a craftsman style home with a huge kitchen
4) Buy a hot tub and pool for the "new house"
5) Buy myself a new Kitchen Aid mixer............the one that is a beautiful copper and about $1K!!
6) Open a little cozy bakery/coffee house that specializes in just a few awesome treats. I would do the baking and my DH would run the business

 best answer ever!!
Here are mine:
1) Pay off all debts including my house & student loans
2) put a million away for each of my kids college
3) renovate my house top to bottom including landcaping and decking
4) new car for DH his is on its last leg
5) pay off my parents house and set them and MIL up for comfy retirment
6) TRAVEL...alot!!
