Beyond disgusting. I hope both that animal and his idiot father endure much suffering for the rest of their pathetic evil lives.

ETA: Oh yeah, the corrupt judge should be thrown in jail too, preferably near inmates he helped put there.

It's disgusting and infuriates me. It also reminds me of that affluenza kids sentence.

Here is the victims letter she read in court. Very powerful, raw and graphic. But should be read by everyone.

Literally makes me as angry as I've ever been. He belongs in jail. That's where rapists go. So he's an athlete big freaking whoop.
And I want to throat punch the dad.

Did you see the dad that lunged at the ass face that killed his daughter!? That would be me.

I am so angry about this. It makes me sick to know that this rapist is basically getting away with what he did because he is 1) White, 2) An Olympic hopeful Athlete.

The letter from his father and from his friend are vile.

I really hope the victim can appeal the sentencing but I don't think that's possible.

I hope she pursues civil action against him.

Reading her letter was heartbreaking....the physical and emotional pain she's been through. Kills me. His sentence is disgusting. And his statements are even more repulsive. And the worst part of it....he isnt taking any responsibility for his actions, AND he's getting away with a 6 month sentence...so the odds are, he's going to do it again to someone else. He's learned nothing except that he can get off easy. The judge is a slimball.

And he claimed he was assaulted because of the angels that saved her. Imagine those men hadn't found her? I shudder to think

I want to punch him and his father, oh and the Judge!

Re: Brock Turner, six-month sentence, '20 minutes of action', and that whole story.

I just saw this post (by a man) on FB and it's so prefect:

I've been drunk many times, even in the presence of promiscuous women who were also drunk, and I managed not to rape them, so I don't think drinking and promiscuity are the problems.

This here is the problem: some guys are entitled pricks, and they're entitled pricks because their fathers and coaches and friends taught them to be entitled pricks. Because they are entitled pricks, they think they can have whatever they want, and that their worth is defined by what they have and what they take.

Alcohol has this capacity to unlock what, deep down, we've always wanted to do. For me, that means, occasionally, running naked in places I probably shouldn't, like through libraries or deserts (remember for next time: deserts=cactuses). But even at my most intoxicated, I've never lost sight of the fact that rape is wrong, because I was raised to know it's wrong. No amount of alcohol can depress that value.

Brock Turner and his ilk were never taught that. They were taught that they can have what they want, when they want, including women. And that's called being a man. Brock Turner thought he was entitled to a little "action" any way he could get it, and he thought that long before he got drunk. The alcohol didn't introduce that thought, it unlocked it. That thought: "I can take whatever I want, including her", was planted and watered by a whole, rotten village.

It is right that we shame him, and his father, and the friend that came to his defense, and the judge, and every other entitled prick we meet.

Just as importantly, we need to love our boys, and teach them the dignity of the body, and how to live through disappointment and confusion, and how to navigate confusing feelings, and how to separate feelings from action, and how to communicate and listen. We need to redefine for them what it is to be a man, that their worth doesn't come from that which they have and take.

Re: Brock Turner, six-month sentence, '20 minutes of action', and that whole story.

Im very angry about this, maybe it's bc I have 2 daughters, and I've personally had a very terrible experience, one that was never handled appropriately. I'm so proud of the victim writing down her thoughts and I pray people listen to her and maybe one day little shits like that boy won't get away with this shit.

I want the judge gone, he isn't upholding the law, he's using his own opinion to further tell women we don't matter, not as much as this kid who is an athlete and a Stanford student anyway. I have a feeling both the judge and the kids father may have had a similar experience or at least thought about doing something so disgusting that they don't see the truth about how vile rape is. They seem to be pretending this girl wanted to be unconsciously raped behind a dumpster. Sick friggen people in this world, and I hate that even though this little shit was caught red handed he still only gets 6 months!! This is the reason people don't come forward, this is the reason victims blame themselves.. May this girl keep her strength, understand her self worth and I pray she gets to the point where she has days and weeks and months where this isn't on her mind.

Re: Brock Turner, six-month sentence, '20 minutes of action', and that whole story.

I cannot wrap my head around his sentence, the fact that he'll likely be out of jail before summer officially ends (they're saying he will kikely only serve three months) and his father's statement.

"Twenty minutes of action".

I keep shaking my head in disbelief.

Her statement is incredible. The courage she took to write that and read it TO THE PERSON WHO RAPED HER is amazing.

I hope she continues on her path of healing.

As far as this sniveling piece of shit is concerned - I'm glad that his arrogant face and name has been on blast online. No one will forget that he is a rapist for the rest of his life. It will affect him forever in social situations, job searches, relationships, where he can live since he's a rapist and therefore a registered sex offender. I hope he has a life of misery and fear that someone, somewhere may have it out for him. I hope he is afraid for the rest of his life.

Re: Brock Turner, six-month sentence, '20 minutes of action', and that whole story.

This guy's parents failed him.

Failed him big time.

They raised a rapist. They can spin it a million different ways...but at the end of the day, they failed to teach him NOT to abuse, violate and assault this woman. They failed to teach him boundaries, failed to teach him that woman are not playthings, and failed to teach him that you are responsible for your actions, and consequences of those actions, no matter what. They brought him up to believe that he was allowed to take whatever he wanted with no repercussions, and if he was ever caught for taking things that didn't belong to him, that there was a perfectly reasonable explanation and he would be of no fault.

We complain about kids being entitled, but parents are entitled as well. They seem to think that they are entitled to justify their childrens actions, and that their child should not be held accountable. They have said, "You are not a bad kid, you're not responsible for what you did, it is someone else's fault."

The message being spread by these disgusting people is that there are no consequences. You're raising children that believe they can do whatever they want and there will always be a reason why they are not at fault. No one else matters in this - not the REAL victim - except the person who was never taught values or right from wrong, and it's not their fault. That their life should be changed as a consequence is just unthinkable of wrong!

My heart breaks for this woman and what she - and every other victim of rape and sexual assault - must feel. I can't even pretend to know. But if we live in a world where violence to women can be so easily justified in favor of the perpetrator, I really don't know where we are or what we are doing.

Exactly. Not only did they raise a rapist, but they are defending raising a rapist.
This world is screwed.

If that were my son I'd be horrified. HORRIFIED. I wouldn't be up there defending him.
How do they live with themselves?

Yes, hopefully he lives in fear that some big guy will come and do to him what he did to that woman. And then get a 6 month sentence for it and complain about it because it was just "20 minutes of action"

Ive seen blurb but I can't read this. I'm terrified of raising a daughter. I NEVER play the race card but if he was anything bUT rich and white he would be getting the max sentence. Boo hoo he's upset he should be castrated. The US is way too lenient on rape.

At times like these, I find it horrible to be a member of this "human" race.

I would love to have 20 minutes with that father

Its absolutely disgusting. Even though he's only going to serve a short time, I'm glad that he now has a felony on his record and will have to forever register as a sex offender. Hopefully that makes it difficult to have the silver spoon life that he and his dad thinks he deserves.
