Bridal shower Question

Is alcohol typically served at a bridal shower? The last one I went to the bride didn't drink so it wasn't served. I can't remember before that.

Re: Bridal shower Question

Usually wine. I don't drink much either but my shower was a brunch so we had mimosas which I like. The last one I went to had wine at the tables and anyone could order a drink from the bar if they wanted to.

Re: Bridal shower Question

I think wine or a signature drink is severed or none at all.

I am MOH in a wedding and the bridal party is paying for the shower ourselves so we are on a budget. the shower is in NJ which apparently its common to BYOB to restaurant's where they will serve it but not provide it. decision made was depending on the RSVP number if there is money left over we will get bottles of wine to server if there isn't no alcohol will be served

Re: Bridal shower Question

I've never been to a shower (bridal or baby) where alcohol was not served. Usually wine, punch, and/or mimosas. Personally I'm a big fan of punch and mimosas, especially at a brunch event.

Same. Even at my baby shower- just because I couldn't drink it, didn't mean everyone else should suffer!

Yes! All the ones I have ever been to anyway! At least Wine & Mimosa's or alcoholic punch. I can't picture having to sit through that torture without a drink!
