Has anyone been watching the series on the OJ Simpson Trial? Its been 20 years and I have been watching the series. I have been reading up on the amount of incriminating evidence against him and cant believe he got off!!!

I totally agree. I stopped watching the series but I'm old enough that I remember many of the details. I was on my honeymoon and we watched the verdict from our hotel room in Mexico.

I just cannot get past the bad acting and the way John Travoltas makeup looks.

His makeup does look bad I agree but he is doing a great job at portraying Shapiro....sad to say but its almost comical lol.

I remember the case but was too young to actually have paid attention to the details.

It's pretty cheesy, but I didn't follow it when it was going on so it's interesting. I watched an old episode of American Justice called "Why Did OJ Win" and it was interesting to watch while watching the mini-series.

I think it's a great series. I remember the case well. It is infuriating that they had so much evidence and he got off. Pathetic. Thank goodness he's in jail now.

Its the same reason that wassername (killed her 2 year old Madelyn) got off.

The jury only gets so much. WE see more than they (jury) do. The Jury can ONLY go by what they see in the courtroom, nothing more.

So If the case is not presented correctly, or things are left out....well, that's what they have to go on.

I have been watching it, it's very interesting. I also can't believe how he got off, but the defense was somehow able to put enough doubt in the jury's mind. I remember I was in 5th grade when the verdict was read, the teacher put it on the radio in our classroom lol.

ETA with regards to the acting, I think Cuba Gooding was a terrible pick for OJ... and John Travolta looks fake.. I will say that the woman that plays Marcia Clark is great and so is the man that plays Johnnie Cochran.

The verdict had a lot to do with the tensions between the LAPD and the community at the time. The defense played that up...and then the glove sealed the deal.

This...If those LA cops didnt treat Rodney Kings head like a soccer ball, and just did their job, I think OJ would have been convicted. Its sad, there was buckets of OJ's blood mixed with Rons and Nicoles at the crime scene, on the route to his house from Nicoles, and at his house...plus his fingerprint in blood on her gate...a DA slam dunk...unfortunately racism and the culture at the time got him off!
