totally random. my friend wound up booking everything for the 1st saturday in june just this fall. you would think that would be booked, but everyone had it open. who knows!

But isn't it just as hot in July?
If not hotter.
In the past few years, the only real "heatwaves" we have had have been in July
hotter in July!! My dd's bday is July 25th and the past 3 years its been 100 degrees with 100% humidity!! That week every year is brutal, then August ends up being much cooler.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw this subject line. August 13th, 2010 was the day I lost my pregnancy with my first baby boy. Oddly, it was Friday the 13th that year.

this was my face when i found out
lol.
I went to a wedding a few years ago on Aug 7. Ceremony was outside under a gazebo, late afternoon. The shade was helpful.
Cocktail hour was outside & the DJ was set up out there. We were supposed to wait out there for the couple to be announced, but it was so hot, people started to go into the air conditioned reception room & the wedding planner was annoyed. 
Later, after the sun set, it was cooler & we danced outside (which is so much fun on a summer night) but it was nice to have the option to go into the AC.
