What is the max you would pay for concert tickets?

I haven't been to a concert since having kids. I want to go to the Adele concert but it is sold out here in DC as well as the rest of the country. Good tickets are like $1000. Not great tickets are like $500-700. If I want to sit alone in a bad location, I may be able to get a ticket for like $400.

I just feel like $500-1000 for concert tickets is too much.

Just spent 600 dollars to fly to Dallas to goto 2 - 20 dollar shows.
But its the best 2 hours of my life each time.

We've paid about $300 per ticket - that was to see Garth Brooks in Vegas and that was the actual price of the ticket. I don't think I would ever pay more than that. Can't imagine I'd ever pay anywhere near $1000 per ticket

I travel for shows sometimes but I never would pay that much. I've also never had to go with buying from a reseller though.

Honestly, I've been to hundreds of concerts and none of them would be worth that much. And I've seen so many bands.

If I was desperate to go to a show and was going with a reseller, I guess the most I'd pay would be double face value.

I wouldn't pay ANY of those prices for a concert ticket, that's nuts. I really wouldn't spend more than $100-150/ticket and even that kills me. LOL

I would say if that was face value and you had the money go for it but I wouldn't pay that much if that's like triple the price.

so my answer it depends if they are normally like $300-$400 tickets and you are paying $500 for them I would probably consider it if I really really wanted to go.

Three of us tried to get Adele tickets when they went on pre-sale, we even joined the fan club to take advantage of pre-sale.
The tickets sold out so quickly, and we even tried general sale the following day - NADA.

I refuse to pay resale prices to see Adele.

I paid $400 to see NKOTB when they reunited awhile back. However, I justified that price because I was obsessed with them growing up, it included meeting them and the seats were in the 6th row center stage.

I love Adele and would spend that much to see her if I had the money. I wouldn't spend that kind of money on just artist.

I am not really a concert person so not all that much. But I have paid $250pp+ for broadway tickets. When I was debating front row tickets to christopher walken's play v. 20th row for half price ($120 v. $60/ticket) my BIL said... what are you more likely to regret? spending the extra money or not taking the better seats? I went with the front row and DH and I loooooved it. (it was a surprise birthday gift for him). If you can swing the money and think its worth it to you to go, then thats all that matters

I paid $300 to go with a friend to JT. It was amazing and I am so happy I did it.

However, it was just me I was paying for, I wouldn't pay $600 for me and my SO to go, if that makes sense?

I did pay like $175 but my seat was great and it was one of my favorite concerts. I would have went up to $200 though.

I generally don't pay more than $100 a tix. But last year I bought Fleetwood Mac tx for DH and they were 150 each and that was face value.

I just bought Pearl Jam at Fenway and it was $188 for the pair.

I would never pay that much for crappy seats. For that kind of money I better be sitting in a decent seat.

Depends who it is.. I think the max would be $100-$120 for someone that i'd not have a chance to see again. I've turned down concerts because the tickets were $80 and to me, seeing a band at someplace like The Paramount is not worth $80..

However, i've always said to my DH if Zeppelin ever reunited, i'd pay Thousands to see them. Don't care if i go alone, it would be worth it!

Sometimes the ticket brokers and resellers are qilling to work with you if you give them your budget. If you want to go see Adele live, call them and see what they can do in your price range. They don't list all of their seats online.
I don't pay more than $150 for my favorite artists. But back in 1999 I did pay 300 for a single backstreet boys ticket- front row
