Is anyone else terrified that he could be the actual GOP presidential candidate?

I mean, it was amusing at first. But, now sh*t's getting real and it's a definite possibility.

I am. Unfortunately, he is causing other candidates to stoop to his level (i.e. Jeb Bush, Hillary, etc.) which does not bode well for anyone. The fact that he sees nothing wrong with using the word "schlonged," especially when used against a woman, makes me SMH. IMHO, he epitomizes what is wrong with the 1% and I honestly can't believe that people are supporting him.

I do not think he will ever be elected.

I think he is a menace, he is making a circus out of this election, and he is unmanageable and unconcerned with anyone or anything besides himself.

Because its "disgusting" for a woman to have to go to the bathroom?

He is embarrassing this country. He IS an embarrassment.

What scares me is how many people do support him. I'm hoping they are all just saying they would vote for him, but when the time comes, will come to their senses.

Re: Trump

I never though he was funny or the fact his running was a funny joke. It terrified me from day one.

when people were sharing trump cats and stupid quotes he was saying and pictures, etc, I really felt very troubled by the whole thing.

I am seriously terrified for our country if this man gets elected. I am praying eventually common sense will outweigh the bigoted ignorance that seems to be holding steady somewhere out there.

He's handing it right over to the dems. I truly think sanders has a bigger edge over Hilary (than is being reported) and will lead over her in due time.

Trump

Absolutely terrified. I never liked him, long before The Apprentice, I thought he was an obnoxious, egotistical, jacka**. Since he started his campaign I have added ignorant racist to my opinion of him.

I'm also seriously disturbed by the amount of support he has. Makes me fear for the future of our country. He plays on people's fears and prejudices. If he is elected he will alienate all of our allies and further divide this country, possibly bringing about some form of revolt or civil war. I know that may sound dramatic, but I do think it's a real possibility.

He scares me... What scares me even more is that Putin thinks he is an intelligent and bright man and supports Trump. Chat Icon
I have a few family members and some friends on facebook who LOVE Trump. I honestly think if this man is elected we will go to war with many as he disrespects so many.

Re: Trump

i have never cared to know much about him.

when he first came on the scene, i thought he would shake things up a bit with the fact that he's an "outsider" of the political world. i thought he just might be a dose of freshness of "hey, let's do things a little differently."

then, i thought he would fade away because he would be laughed off as being a joke.

now, i'm terrified. ESPECIALLY, when i hear people (who i thought were intelligent) agreeing with him and spouting off what he says.

Like him or not, you really can't compare Obama to Trump.

Trump is a pompous ass who has no business in politics.

How bad could he be? How about being a racist egomaniac? Pretty bad.

what does Trump know about...

foreign policy?
Health care?
Poverty?
Education?

How can anyone think he would be good for this country?????

Forget his moral compass. Forget the BLATANT bigotry. The mind numbing ignorance that spouts out of his mouth.

Look at his history - he is a swindler - he went bankrupt, and swindled his way back to the top.

This is what people want to lead our country into?

Obama was a senator and intelligent and already involved in politics for a long time before throwing his hat into the ring.

Even if you do not support Obama, there is no comparing the 2. AT all.

And... How much worse could things get?

I remember the Bush years well. Back when my DH was laid off. Things can get WORSE worse. Never ask that question and tempt the universe to respond.

Trump being regarded in any other way than "that friggen jackasss" shows how much worse things are getting.

Re: Trump

This is an actual quote from an actual question being asked to him.

He can't even formulate an intelligent answer. I mean - what...?

Q: You once told a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice it would be a pretty picture to see her on her knees. Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president?

TRUMP: I think the big problem this country has is being politically correct. I don't have time for total political correctness. And to be honest with you, this country doesn't have time either. This country is in big trouble. We don't win anymore. We lose to China. We lose to Mexico both in trade and at the border. We lose to everybody. And frankly, what I say, and oftentimes it's fun, it's kidding. We have a good time. What I say is what I say. But you know, we need strength, we need energy, we need quickness and we need brain in this country to turn it around.

This perplexes me, with no flame at all.

I am TRULY perplexed at this thinking.

Under Obama:
the economy is great.
Housing is great.
Stock market is up.
Unemployment is down.
Gas is down (but it is an election year)

I truly have failed to see WHY there is such vitrol from the non Obama supporters for a job being done well. Again, to be CLEAR I am NOT flaming you at all. And I'm not saying Obama is the best prez we have had or is doing everything he promised. But I believe him to be doing a good job for us.

Congress sucks all around.

And then to see Trump. I know people love the fact he is outspoken and takes no crap. On the other hand the things he is outspoken about are pretty damn heinous.

And when he speaks his mind he says that women are on the rag, its disgusting that they pee.....all Muslims should register, all Mexicans "They" are sending are murderers and rapists...... Who are "They"???.

And then when the GOP speaks about ISIS they talk about carpet bombing. Anyone knows you cant JUST go in an carpet bomb a city of 800K civilians just to kill the 30k terrorists that are in that city.

But with Trump and truly un presidential way he carries himself.....I just don't get the support.

Again, said with a GREAT deal of respect as a discussion, not a flame.

I HATE politics I really do. brings the worst out in people; I feel it shows peoples ignorance they have in them.

but I really need to know do you really support everything Trump has said? I don't even know everything because again I don't follow it but I am amazed that people really do believe he should be president and will admit that with the little I have heard him say.

besides the fact of things that come out of his mouth. I want to know what qualifications he has to run for president. Has ever held office anywhere. does he even know all the rules and regulations needed to be president? I don't know I think we should have some rules in place where a candidate should pass certain qualifications to be president. If I ran and I actually won the election every person should be in fear cause I would have no idea what I am/allow to be doing as president.

also another side note. I also believe the biggest problem with our government is not who is president but all the representatives we have in the senate and congress. our whole government is corrupt and its sad. hence why I don't follow politics too much

Exactly what lipgloss says here

I really feel people who believe his rhetoric forget about the other branches of government

Re: Trump

If he is nominated the GOP might as well just hand the election to the Democrats. This whole fiasco is showing us how screwed up our election process is. Why are a handful of states and their electorate more important then others? The primary election should be held on the same day everywhere. One day for Dems and one day for Repubs.

Re: Trump

Q: Would you cut departments?
TRUMP: Environmental Protection, what they do is a disgrace.ÿEvery week they come out with new regulations.
Q: Who's going to protect the environment?
TRUMP: We'll be fine with the environment. We can leave a little bit, but you can't destroy businesses.

Trump

Foreign policy:

Q: Russia has invaded Ukraine, and has put troops in Syria. You have said you will have a good relationship with Mr. Putin. So, what does President Trump do in response to Russia's aggression?
TRUMP: As far as Syria, if Putin wants to go and knock the hell out of ISIS, I am all for it, 100%, and I can't understand how anybody would be against it.
Q: They're not doing that.
TRUMP: They blew up a Russian airplane. He cannot be in love with these people. He's going in, and we can go in, and everybody should go in. As far as the Ukraine is concerned, we have a group of people, and a group of countries, including Germany--why are we always doing the work? I'm all for protecting Ukraine--but, we have countries that are surrounding the Ukraine that aren't doing anything. They say, "Keep going, keep going, you dummies, keep going. Protect us." And we have to get smart. We can't continue to be the policeman of the world.

Sorry but I just cannot understand how anyone can support Trump. He is a racist, a bigot and is sexist - to say the least. He has no idea of how to respectfully interact with anyone who disagrees with him - one of THE most important things our president had to do - with our Congress and other world leaders. I can understand if you think things need to change and can understand not being happy with our current leadership. But I CANNOT understand supporting Trump.
