Gorgeous Sunday afternoon.. spent in the ER!!!!
Well, we can add my little baby Jacob to the coxsackie club. He woke up this morning with a 103 fever, and was vomiting (projectile mind you.. all over his mother mind you). I was able to get some tylenol down and then went to my MIL's around 11am. He vomited up his noon bottle, and then when i called the ped he said to put cold compresses on him and give him tylenol every 4 hrs but that if he doesnt stop vomiting he would need to go to the ER in case of dehydration. Well after that phone call, i tried to give him more tylenol and it was like flood gates opened up and the vomit just kept flying out. All over me, all over his stroller, all over my MIL's patio. It was everywhere, it was coming out his nose.
He was SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER like i never saw before and was literally shaking. So off i went to LIJ's ER and there i remained until 5:30. He was diagnosed with coxsakie, and from what they tell me theres nothing that can be done for it except tylenol for the fever. It has to run its course. GREAT! They had to put a tylenol suppository up his heiny cause he wasnt keeping it down orally. My poor doo doshk. He was so not himself today and the damn fever is still high and it makes me so nervous. I just hope that it runs its course fast, and leaves my monkey sandwich ALONE!!!! Need huggies...

I hope he feels better, I didn't realized coxsackie caused vomiting too...that is one thing that I dread.

Hope he's feeling better soon. If he refuses food/bottle, try ice pops.
