Comments on debate last night?
I didn't see a thread
I thought sanders did well !
(I watch both D and R debates, btw)
It was interesting to see how the candidates were more like-minded on the D side. Not as entertaining as the republican debates
Thoughts?

Comments on debate last night?
I honestly thought the only one who seemed like they had a clue last night was Hillary and I personally was never a big fan of her's. And is it just me or is Bernie Sanders voice pattern identical to Larry David's, specifically as George Steinbrenner in Seinfeld??? Between that and the general awkwardness of the other candidates I couldn't take it seriously. Are these seriously the best candidates out there??? Same for the Republicans? I don't like ANYONE. The scary part is most of these guys are already in office. Ekkkkk.

OMG!! I was trying to figure out who he sounded like! You're dead on!
I actually think Hillary performed really well. I usually lean Republican, but I think she was more presidential than any candidate in any debate I've seen thus far. I was impressed (to my Dh's chagrin).

I think Hillary did really well. I really. really like Sanders, but his gun policy I can't get behind. That's a game changer for me.

Re: Comments on debate last night?
I watched parts of both. The Democrats seem much more level headed and mature, but if they had the large state the Republicans have that might not have been the case.
I thought Sanders did well in the part I saw. I really respect that he's not going to go negative against the other candidates. He is my choice at this point but I feel like the media is calling the shots and they want Hillary. For example CNN put up a poll on Facebook (obviously not scientific) which had Sanders winning the debate by a lot, and they took it down. Time Warner owns CNN and they donated a half million to Hillary.
So I feel like it's a foregone conclusion that she will be the nominee even though I think she will not be able to get anything done because she is so hated.

I thought it was excellent. Bernie Sanders is the only one sticking up for the middle class in a meaningful way on the issues that I feel are important.
My favorite tweet was: It's people with integrity speaking about issues of substance.

I only watched a tiny portion of it and while I was happy with most of what sanders was saying I just can't picture him being the President. I definitely could see Clinton and O Malley as president and VP nominations.

I think Sanders sounds like a bumbling idiot in the same way that I think Trump sounds like a jacka$$. They're both out of their respective leagues, IMO.

I've never understood this argument. Nothing is free, including the things the Republican candidates are promising (ie, the wall, increased military presence, etc). Our tax dollars pay for everything. It's just a matter of priorities.
If you don't like what they are proposing, fine. But to claim that only Democrats dangle "free stuff" to entice voters is to be willfully blind--as always, the difference between the parties is more presentation than substance.

I'd rather listen to Bernie Sanders sounding like Larry David than a smooth talking Republican's lies.

That's typical Republican rhetoric - claim everything is free when it's not. We all pay the price no matter who is in office, but like stated above, it's about priorities.
And how can anyone take the party seriously when they deny climate change (among other things) and parade Trump around? Their sole intention is TO BUY THE GOVERNMENT and line their pockets at OUR expense.

I'd rather watch Curb than both of these options.

Exactly. It's like when Obama proposed the Healthcare Act. He said we were able to keep our plans. But lo and behold, everything changed.
With tons of Americans on foodstamps and immigrants being promised the moon (Which they get for the most part) a Republican will never ever be in office again. Whether or not you like it, that is the reality.
