Congrats!

While I would probably take it, I would honestly be a bit nervous-doesn't fmla not apply until you've been there a year? Will you be entitled to any maternity leave? What about appointments/missing work?

The movement is internal. Since it's still within the same company maternity leave is not an issue.

I started my job at 7 months pregnant. While I did not qualify for FMLA, it didn't matter. FMLA doesn't pay you a penny. It just holds your job for you for 6 or 8 weeks.
Regardless if I had qualified for it or not my leave would have been unpaid as I had no vacation or sick time acrued in that short time .
The majority of companies now a days do not have any paid maternity leave...it's all your own time.
FMLA is not maternity pay

I realize this, but being there less than a year means they can just let you go if you go out on maternity leave, even for 6 weeks. I'm in the same boat as many with no paid leave, and went back after 6 weeks with dd

That being said, with the ops update about it being an Internal transfer, I would absolutely take the job and tell them you're preggo later

Yes, I hear ya. In my case I knew my boss very well, we were friends, and I trusted that they would hold my position for the 8 weeks I took. They knew I was pregnant and hired me anyway and really wanted me for that role so I felt very safe.

Take it! you still have nine more months to show them what a great worker you are, if they're able to see that they wont take it the wrong way when you go on maternity leave.
