How do you treat others?

I'm usually pretty nice to people I just meet or that I don't have a personal relationship. I can be a bit moody to those who are closer to me but its because I am comfortable being that way around them. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt (which drives DH crazy) when they are Aholes to me.

Honestly im a real sweet person. Been told that for all my life. I treat people really nicely. Always go above and beyond in my personal life and when i used to work also. Life is to short to be an assh*le lol

No because I would feel bad if I nasty back. I know some people who are rude and nasty to me but I just can't bring my self to be that way because I'm a nice person and I would feel bad. I try and look for the good in people even when I see the bad.

This. I am my mother's daughter, and she is so kind but tough as nails. I have been told I do too much and sometimes those who do too much get taken advantage of, so as of somewhat recent I have been very aware of this. Sometimes, also, I just quietly distance myself from the toxic ones and move toward the good/healthy.

I treat others as I would like to be treated unless they give me a reason not to. If you treat myself or others like crap, then that is what you get in return.

IRL I tend to get along with most people.
I've also been in situations where I would love to give my 2 cents but if it's gonna cause drama, will keep my mouth shut.
Especially with family.
I've learned that as long as it's not directly affecting me and my family, it's not worth it to get involved.
I think this is the biggest difference between me and a lot of other people I know here on LI especially.

gonna be honest- i can't say i'm nice to everyone. I treat others the way they treat me.
Only time this is not the case is at work. If coworkers treat me like crap, I kill them with kindness because it is my career and I am not going to mess it up.

it really depends on the person and situation.
i'd give my right leg for my friends, but they'd still tell you i'm tough to deal with. i am always honest and sometimes they don't like it.
at work, i try to be as nice and professional as I can, but if you are way out of line, I will start making you less of a priority than all the other requests i get daily. (it still get done, but on my time not theirs)
strangers or people i deal with in stores/restaurants/etc- depends on how they treat me and how competent they are. when I try to ask a question (always asked politely) and i get an attitude or the person has no clue what they are talking about and don't handle that well, i will just walk out

How do you treat others?
I wish people online were as nice as they seem to be IRL. I've seen a few *nasty* people on a local mommy group, but then want to be treated like they're your pal when you see them in person. I can't separate the two when I deal with people. If you're an ass, I really want nothing to do with you b/c I don't need that drama in my life (unless it's work and I just go out of my way to avoid them as much as possible).

I treat people the way I wish they treated me. I do way more for others than they do for me. It's something I have tried to work on but it's a hard behavior to change. It hurts me a lot which has caused me to become more hardened.

I'm always nice until you give me a reason not to be. But I can and do forgive and forget in most circumstances. I try to always give people the benefit of the doubt too and try not to have expectations of anyone. At the same time, I try not to let others take advantage of me. So I'd say I treat others fairly. I'm never rude to strangers, customer service reps, waiter's, servers in general. But I'm not overly friendly either.

Same for me! But now that I have a daughter and am a little bit older.....if you mess with my daughter or my family I may not be so nice.

In general, I'm very nice............almost too nice sometimes. I make a point of being kind and friendly to everyone I meet throughout my day and I always try to be considerate of my family and friends. That being said, I'm also not afraid to speak my mind or state my opinion if need be. There is a fine line between being nice and being a doormat, I'm certainly NOT a doormat.
