I had recently watched a documentary on sugar and Ive been avoiding it wherever I can. Never realized how it's in almost everything! I've been eating quite well but if I go to get up too quickly, I can get a little dizzy and fuzzy for a second.
That symptom could be low blood pressure. Check it out.

Re: Unexplained nausea?
TBH sometimes hot summer weather and/or humidity is enough to make me very queasy, and even lightheaded.

Re: Unexplained nausea?
I usually feel like that when I am dehydrated, I feel better after drinking a lot of water. Hope you get your answers!

Re: Unexplained nausea?
Maybe dehydration, too? A family member once got supersick... dizzy, nauseous, just not feeling "right." Was worried he could be having a heart attack (it was that bad), and we went to the ER. It was dehydration (he was very busy at work, and didn't stop to drink anything), and they hooked him up to an IV to hydrate him and he was much better.
Just thought of it because you said drinking water helped.

Oh! NEVER take vits on an empty stomach. Especially zinc. I once took a cold ease lozenge on an empty stomach- the one that looks like a cough drop- it's all zinc. I got SOOO sick I almost had to leave work.
Always take vits with food

Please check it out. I have had odd feelings in my abdomen for months along with bloating and lots of gas and thought it was stress caused. Apparently, it wasn't. I had a CT scan Friday and this morning the doctor called to tell me I have "something in my pancreas" and scheduled me to see surgeon tomorrow. He sounded worried. Lots of thoughts are running through my head. None good. I wish I had gone to a doctor long before this about my gastric symptoms.
Thank you ladies for your concern and your positive vibes. Unfortunately, I was just told by Memorial Sloan Kettering that I have stage 3, possibly stage 4, pancreatic cancer and I am trying to adjust to a new normal that consists of more chemo (oh, goody), and end of life planning. I always thought I would live to 104 as my family is generally long lived (Mom died at 90 and her mother at 99), but this is not to be. I have a loving husband and two great kids who are grown. I worry more about them than me as I can't change my prognosis and they will be devastated when I am gone. DH is now.
What I would like to say is, please check out unusual gastric issues. I wish I had insisted on my PCP arranging for some tests last year when I mentioned that I was having a lot of gas and other issues. I wrote it off to stress. It wasn't. Please take care of yourselves, get anything worrisome checked out.
This board has been such a help to me as I recovered from breast cancer treatments - supposedly I am fine in that department, not that it matters anymore. I enjoyed reading people's posts about a wide range of subjects and learned so much from a lovely group of interesting women. Thank you all. (((Hugs))) to everyone.

Unexplained nausea?
Thank you ladies. You are very kind. I am afraid that there will be no positive outcome here, but I appreciate the thoughts. Now, I have to figure out what needs to be done, decluttering our house, clearing out our file cabinets and cleaning out the packed basement iare high on my list so that my poor family will not have to do those things after I am gone :) Funny how priorities change.
Hug your loved ones, tell them you love them often and let small annoyances slide. Life is gift. Enjoy it.

Re: Unexplained nausea?
Is it possible you have post nasal drip or allergies? That gunk sits in my stomach and makes me queasy. I've literally vommitted at work several mornings in sept/ October for the past three years and literally felt instantly better
I know it's so gross - sorry but felt I should maybe throw that in there
Oh my god- sunny flies I just read your posts- I'm so sorry to hear this!!! Lots of hugs your way!!!
