Unexplained nausea?
No, I'm not pregnant and there is NO possible way I am (as I literally am at the tail end of AF).
I've been troubled lately by random nausea. I'm otherwise healthy (although I could stand to lose a few!).
I just feel something is off in my diet and I'm trying to pinpoint what it is. I've never had this issue before. I've been eating very clean lately to kind of see if that does the trick, but no luck.
Today I had a couple of hard boiled eggs and cofffee (which I still can't give up) and then I felt nausea a couple of hours later. I haven't eaten since, because I feel so queasy.
Anyone deal with something similiar? I will head to doc soon for an annual exam, but in the meantime....I figured I would ask.

I was just about to say this. The random nausea happens to me sometimes and I blame it on anxiety/stress. I've noticed it happens more often on Sunday nights. For me i think it's because going to work on Monday makes me so anxious even though I don't even realize it sometimes.
Also I get it with pms 3-5 days before AF but it doesn't sound like that's your situation right now.

Unexplained nausea?
I have had random nausea and actually threw up a few times in my life. I wasn't pregnant or sick in any other way. Never knew what caused it

The first two things that came to mind are celiac and gall bladder. But there's no gluten in what you ate, so that might not be it.

Unexplained nausea?
Thanks all.
I've struggled with anxiety but it's not that, because it's not like a nervous stomach. It's more of "ugh what did I eat?" I can't explain it, but there's a difference.
I'm wondering if it's eggs. I'm trying to experiment.
Thanks again!

My anxiety nausea is not a nervous stomach. It felt like I ate something bad. I have thrown up from it. When it first stated happening I started getting anxious about what was causing the nausea. Trying to figure it out made it worse. Totally went away after I started seeing a therapist and doctor to determine it was anxiety. I would get a full check up.

Re: Unexplained nausea?
If it is happening after you eat, it could be low blood pressure. Try adding more sodium into your diet. If you go to the dr, ask to be checked for dysautonomia (autonomic dysfunction). I have this. Feel better!

Just seeing "hard boiled eggs" and "coffee" in the same sentence made me queasy.

Unexplained nausea?
Please check it out. I have had odd feelings in my abdomen for months along with bloating and lots of gas and thought it was stress caused. Apparently, it wasn't. I had a CT scan Friday and this morning the doctor called to tell me I have "something in my pancreas" and scheduled me to see surgeon tomorrow. He sounded worried. Lots of thoughts are running through my head. None good. I wish I had gone to a doctor long before this about my gastric symptoms.

Me too. I think it might just be what you ate-maybe next time add something else to the m al like whole grain toast or steel cut oats.

Can it be low blood sugar because you recently changed your diet?

Re: Unexplained nausea?
It was probably the eggs. I can no longer eat eggs. Started a few months ago but I would feel sick most of the day after eating them.

A great natural cure for this is the herb called Mastic Gum extract. You take it in pill form. If that's the case with the OP, I would try that route instead of going the PPI route

Unexplained nausea?
That happened to me a couple of years ago....turns out it was my coffee in the morning. Have drunk coffee every morning since I was 13, one day it just started making me nauseous and sick to my stomach. I did go to the Dr and rule out other things, but after trial and error it was the coffee. I can only drink it after lunchtime now...seems I need to have a couple of full meals in me and then I don't have a bad reaction to it.

Unexplained nausea?
Thanks all for the insight! I will be making an appt with my doctor for sure. Yeah, I've had random bouts of dizziness here and there. Just in general not feeling sharp. So I decided to make some changes. I always think you can change how you feel through diet and ive had a rough year and had been stress eating a lot.
I had recently watched a documentary on sugar and Ive been avoiding it wherever I can. Never realized how it's in almost everything! I've been eating quite well but if I go to get up too quickly, I can get a little dizzy and fuzzy for a second.
I drank some water and felt better yesterday. Here I'm trying to get healthy and I'm feeling icky! Figures I will see what the doc says. Thanks for all the advice.
Sunnyflies - sending you positive vibes!
