NO Desire to Go Play in the Snow

Am I the only one who does NOT want to go play in the snow? I see pics on FB of all these kids playing in the snow and their snowmen, and I feel a little guilty. My kids would LOVE to go out there to play, but I really have zero desire to get all of us bundled up just to go out there for 20 minutes and have to come in and take baths. Ugh I just want to put on a movie and cuddle!

I HATE "playing" in the snow. Always have. I am dreading when DD wants to go. DH can take her I will stay in and have the hot cocoa ready.

I hate going out there but my boys are at ages (3.5 & 22 months), that they love it and I know they would not leave me alone if we didn't take them out for at least a bit. We ended up going out around 10 and were back inside by 11. I totally feel your pain, the day is still young and DH & I are hoping that they don't ask again.

We don't have much snow. Certainly not enough to play in.
But I hate snow and cold. Never do I want to play in it.
Luckily DD takes after mama and never ever wants to go out in it. She says it's too cold.

I HATE it. LOL. too bad we have over 6 inches here and theres no way to avoid my kids wanting to go in it.

I run out there with a bowl, scoop some up and give it to them to play with either on there play table or in the sink of the play kitchen. They use play spoons plastic measuring cups and their plastic dinosaurs and have a blast!

I don't really like it either but I do it for my DD. However, this morning my DH was home so the 2 of them went out together to shovel and play. He loves doing that with her. I stayed inside though

I hate being cold, so I'm not big on playing in the snow either. DH is outside with my 4 yr old right now.

I dont like it either but my kids happiness trumps all so I suck it up...now that they are a little older they are happy to go out by themselves in the back yard and I will go out for a short while.

If they really want to go out I would do it - look at it like this - how often is this going to happen? a few times each winter...

I'm not interested in playing in snow ever. I hate the cold, I hate the mess, yuck. Luckily ds is still too young to want to go out in it but I'm sure in a couple of years I'll have to suck it up & do it at least for a little while. Maybe I can get myself to enjoy it if he's having fun.

Eh, there are a lot of things I don't LOVE to do, but I suck it up for the enjoyment of my kids. To me, that's what being a parent is all about

We didn't have much snow, and it was raining, so I put down a big towel on the floor, filled a container with snow, gave my kids mittens and let them play.

I hate the cold. I hate the winter and I hate the snow. I would love to be playing in the sand at the beach instead. I won't bring my dd out in it unless she wants to play in it. So I do it for her!! Thankfully, she's not much of a snow lover.

I hate the snow. I haven't even bought snow boots or pants for my kids this year. I'm going to go out and look today but if we don't find anything I won't be too upset. Getting 3 kids dressed to go out for 20 minutes or until one has to pee just to come back in and get undressed and clean up the floors I not very fun to me.

My MIL just called me to ask if she and FIL could come over tomorrow afternoon and play with the boys in the snow. They live 45 min away so this runs the risk of them becoming overnight guests if the roads are bad tomorrow night. But I am willing to take that risk lol.

I hate it too, and its TORTURE to go out there, but I went out yesterday and actually ended up having a lot of fun with them. We went sledding which i have done since I was a kid and they pushed me down the hill and it was hysterical. We made snow angels, built a snowman, made a slide with the plow pile at the end of the driveway and had a snowball fight. I didnt love being out there, but made the best of it and actually had fun.

Well now that they're predicting a BIG snow, DH is talking about when we will go sledding with the 3!!
I have ZERO desire to do this. We went 2 years ago, and it was dreadful!! I was exhausted and tired!
This time, I have DD#2 (5 y.o.), who won't keep gloves or a hat on, and DS (14 mos) who...is 14 months!! I told DH that I'll pull the baby around the front yard once or twice in the sled but that's about it. If he wants to take DD#1, that'll be on him! I'm not trudging up and down a hill with a disabled 5 year old and a 14 month old!

Yes, I want DC to have fun and be happy, but there's a limit to what I can do!!

THe snow from Sat wasn't snow....you can't play in that. This snow we are getting now....yes we will be out building snowmen.

Whether I like it or not doesn't really matter to me....DS and DH love it so off we will go.

That's what DH is for! My contribution is getting her dressed and leaning out the doorway for a minute to snap a few pictures. I'll be watching through the window enjoying the warmth and baby snuggles inside this year.

I hate it! I suffered a bit when they were little but now that the are almost 5 and 6.5 they are on their own! LOL

Im lucky my ds cries if he gets wet from snow and my dd is always cold, like me, and hates snow. Last time we got snow to play in my dh and i built a snowman for the kids while they watched us from inside (with their grandpa) hahaha
