Favors for 3rd bday party

I was going to make chocolate lollipops for dd's party. Don't know if I should do something in addition or do you think that the lollipops would be sufficient?

Depends what your budget is. Also if the party is in august...........they will melt. What about a cookie?

My twins bday is in Oct. I bought cups from Disney store that were on clearance. I personally like to spend at least 5.00.

I think a 3 year old might be disappointed by a lollipop. Also some parents might not let them have the lollipop which leads to no favor for them at all. I'd add a little something. The dollar tree has a ton of $1 items that might match your theme, it would be easy to add something without stretching your budget.

Sorry, but I don't think that's enough. I think you should add something.

Ok, that's why I asked, I didn't have a preference either way, just didn't know if it was necessary, thanks!

Re: Favors for 3rd bday party

I think it's enough. I'd rather my kid eat something, and be done with it, then bring any more trinkets into my house lol. But that's just me.

I think it is fine. Favors have really become ridiculous. What happened to giving out a goodie bag filled with a mix of candy and random little toys? That's what I remember receiving when I was little, and I was quite happy to get it.

honestly that stuff adds up and the amount you spend on all the little random toys you can just get one "bigger" thing and be done.

For DD 3rd bday (it was at LI laser bounce, it had bounce houses, a ball pit area, type thing)I did a dora theme, got all the girls dora buckets (ended up being maybe a $1 each)with a dora cup ($1), included a straw (I think it was maybe $2 max for a pack of eight straws) , a light up bouncy ball ($1) and put in tow packs of min m&ms (6pk for a $1) and a lollipop (.50) each . boys I did the same thing but instead got them diego stuff. I went to do a bunch of little random things but by the time I was done I was spending a decent amount of money on crap that parents I am sure would rather not have so I like doing "bigger" items and calling it a day.

ETA: I realized I never really answered your question Chat Icon and just told you what I did
do I think its enough sure... will some kids maybe be disappointed maybe maybe not they may not even really careChat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Favors for 3rd bday party

I'd maybe also add in a diy chocolate covered pretzel stick, maybe with some sprinkles. Minimal way to jazz it up just a little more :)

It's enough.

I personally end up throwing out ALL party favors.

Re: Favors for 3rd bday party

MY sons birthday is around Halloween. I did trick or treat pumpkins for the young kids with chocolate pops and other Halloween stuff in them. The pops were a hit!

Re: Favors for 3rd bday party

I think its a great favor. My dd is almost 3 and I can't imagine her being anything but excited to get something chocolate after she just had a great time at a birthday party. Don't stress about it, these parties are expensive, so whatever favor you give, people should be happy with.

Favors for 3rd bday party

Never gave favors. Had goodies & crafts or games during party that guests can take home. Like OP said I end up tossing goodie bag stuff out or it gets lost or forgotten
