ARGH! BITING TODDLER! please help

My 19month is a biter.. Please help

Seems to be biting when he wants things or has toys taken from him or if he doesn't feel safe with other kids.. ie: another kid horse playing with him and he didn't like it...

Daycare redirects the behavior and emphasis what positive behavior and we try to mimic at home...
have books on biting...

We express biting makes us sad and hurts.. blah blah
HE KEEPS BITING!!

My kid is "That Biter" I am so embarrassed and I don't know what to do please help

Just keep being consistent in your approach. You have nothing to be embarrassed about. It's normal and a lot of kids go through this phase. Biting is a way to express himself because he doesn't have the language to communicate his frustration. DS2 is a biter though he tends to bite his brother more than anyone else. Luckily, he seems to be outgrowing the phase. I would continue to redirect him. Showing that it hurts may or may not be effective (i.e. saying "ouch" or being sad). Saying no sternly could help or putting him in time out for a minute. Good luck! I hope the phase passes soon.
