36 weeks and 2cm dilated?
Hey everyone. Quick question. I'm 36 weeks and was checked today BC I've been having alot of pressure. I'm 2cm dilated. My cervix is still thick. I had my last DS at 36 weeks. Do you think I will go early or just stay dilated for a while longer. I also have GD as I did with my DS.

36 weeks and 2cm dilated?
I was 2 cm and 80% effaced at 36 weeks... at 38w3d I had an internal and was the same, maybe 90%. I broke my water that night and had her the next day!

I was 2-3 cm dilated for 1.5-2 weeks. I think effacement is more important.

At my 36 week I was checked..I was not dilated at all and was 50 percent effaced. The next day my water broke and I went into labor. With my older DS I was dilated 2 cm and 50 percent effaced from 37 weeks on and never went into labor. I don't think it matters much!

I was 3 cm from my first internal at 37 weeks until I was induced at 39

Based on your stats it's hard to tell. People can be 2cm for 2 weeks. Others go from 2cm to giving birth in hours.
