Back up day care - one more question at bottom
My work offers Back Up Care through Bright Horizons, and I'll be using the service for the first time next week. I have never used day care before, so am curious if there are tips or things I should know about daycare.
For example, they told me to bring a nut free ready to eat lunch. Do I need to bring plates and a fork? Will they return tupper ware or do I need to pack stuff in disposable items? Do I have to bring my own bottled water?
I know these might be silly questions, so please bear with me as a newbie! TIA!

Re: Back up day care questions
My job also has back up care through Bright Horizons. I havent brought DD in but i did go on a tour- they have forks/plates/cups etc .you can bring pack your own container but make sure to put a label on it or write your child's name on it in permananent marker. (i would put a label on anything you bring - even on jackets, sweaters etc if they take them off) At my facility they provide juice/water.

Back up day care questions
I would call and ask them as daycares vary greatly on what they provide.

Thanks for the responses! They said I need to bring a ready to eat, peanut free breakfast and lunch for her. They can't heat anything up. Any suggestions? I'll bring yogurt for breakfast, but need help with lunch. She usually eats hot foods!

My boss' son went to Bright Horizons for a couple of years - he would pack things like pasta and whatnot in a thermos since he wasn't really a sandwich kid.
It stinks for the price of the daycare that they don't provide meals!
