Game of Thrones 5/11 - wow (TV Spoilers)
WOW last nights episode was intense. The final scenes with Tyrion were amazing. He needs an Oscar (never mind Emmy)! ;)
DYING to know what will happen with the duel. Jaime tried to go to bat for him, which shows his good heart, but also shows his weakness in the face of his father by bending to his will. Tyrion outdoes Jaime every time on bravery, and wit.

Game of Thrones 5/11 - wow (TV Spoilers)
Intense was the word I was going to use! My knuckles were white during the entire last half of the episode. I wonder if Tyrion is going to get Bron to fight Jamie seeing as he knows all of Jamie's weaknesses fighting with his other hand.
F'in Shae.... so who took her off the ship & fed her the story she lied about on the stand?

LOVE Tyrion. I don't know if he's going to ask Bron to fight Jaime or if he'll ask Jaime to fight on his behalf. I do feel for Jaime, I feel like his time imprisoned and all that happened to him definitely changed him for good, and he's losing everyone in one way or another - Brienne had to leave, he realized who and what Cersi really is, Tyrion is about to either be killed or banished, and his eldest son dies in his arms (after seeing what he had become as well), and his father really doesn't care for him either.

Oh and Shae, I want to know what they did to her, and what they threatened her with, and why she really believed that that's what he was saying. She's so dumb, how do you not realize that this man is trying to protect you!?!?!?!?!?

I totally think this could be true. It seems Little Finger has had his hands into this scheme since the series began. Seems his intent is to make Cat's sister and son FLY (yuck i hate them) and then try to marry Sansa -- since he had his hands in pinning the entire death of Joff on Tyrion and expects him to die or go to the wall...leaving Sansa a widow. I stiill think the grandma tyrell and Tywin are also pulling strings....and seeing Tywin sit on the throne while his grandson/king was whisked away was telling. He is cut throat, and willing to see his grandson and son die for his advancement. I hope something terrible happens to Cersi. She is disgusting

It kills me that Tywin knows his son didn't kill Joffrey, but being the left hand of the king and "ruling" through his puppet grandson is more important than his own flesh & blood. I hate the family!

Good point, I wonder. I hadn't even thought of that, I plan on mentioning it to DH tonight when we discuss again.

Game of Thrones 5/11 - wow (TV Spoilers)
OMG I was sitting on the edge of my seat during the trial scene! Peter Dinklage (Tyrion) did such an amazing job last night, he is truly a gifted actor. My heart broke for him the whole time Shae was on the stand testifying and when he looked up at her and softly said, "Shae. Don't."...ugh.
My first thought was that someone got to her and somehow blackmailed her into testifying against him but it seems so out of character that she would bow down to any threat like that. I agree with the other poster that said she sounds like a scorned woman to me.
I don't think it will be Jamie or Bronn that will be Tyrion's champion for the duel this time. I am leaning towards Prince Oberyn (sp?) from Dorne for some reason, I don't know why. Just the way he was questioning the witnesses and picking up on all the indiscrepancies in the testimonies. I think he sees through this sham "trial" and recognizes that Tyrion is different than the rest of the Lannisters.

I think they are letting him take the fall so Sansa will marry Little Finger. They want the Norths support.

I LOVE Tyrion! Agreed with all of you he should def win an Emmy for that last scene!
Here's my theory....
Tyrion, once again, outsmarts Jaime and Tywinn. I think that Tyrion will request Jamie will fight for him. Once Jamie came over to him right before the trial restarted, he knew his brother made a deal for him. I think he'll pick Jamie to represent him. Tywinn knows that Jamie isn't the strongest fighter anymore. Now he'll press Tywinn hand....does he risk losing both sons and never carrying on the Lannister name or does he pardon Tyrion for the sake of the family name

To me, her character's anger won out over her love for him. It always seemed very important to her to appear strong and not allow people to take advantage of her.
I think it's another case where we feel one way about a character, that they're tipping to the "good" or "bad" side and GoT turns it around on us. I really love that about this show, the characters are more true to life in that way.
I look at what Shae did as what many times happens in a divorce. You love the other person, but you hate them a little (or a lot) too and sometimes do and say terrible things.
