DS is 15 months old and biting, too. "Thankfully" he's only bitten me so far, but when he does it he laughs so hard. It's hard to teach him it's wrong when he thinks it's so funny. I think it's because he's teething and will hopefully outgrow it. But in the meantime, we just tell him no in a very stern voice and show that we are upset (do not laugh along with him). They are young to comprehend right from wrong, but I don't know what else there is to do.

It's totally normal. Chat Icon They don't have the language to communicate when they're upset about something. I would redirect DC and also reinforce that it's not ok to bite. You can also try timeouts. Hopefully it will be a short lived phase.

DS is 11 months. He started biting when he had four teeth coming in at once a few weeks ago, we let him since he was in mind (stupid LOL). Now every once in a while he'll do it - I tell him no in a stern voice and put him down

Re: 18month old biting

DD bites for fun or when she is excited. I don't even think it's frustration. I keep telling her nom but there isn't much I can do. She bites her sister all the time, but her sister should really know better by not to keep her darn fingers out of her sister's mouth no matter how funny she thinks it is.
