FTWM when does it get easier?
I do think it gets easier, but I like my job and the people I work with. If I didn't I know I would be miserable. I still get sad and miss them and I think about them all day but I try really hard to make the most of the nights and weekends and always be "present" for the time we have together.

I'm a FTWM by choice, my DD is 17-months-old, and I still have bad days once in a while. I find that it's no coincidence that the days something pisses me off at work are the days I find it really hard to be away from DD. Luckily, I really like my job, so those days are not very often.

I never had an issue but that was because I never wanted to stay home. Don't get me wrong I do have days where my DS is being super cute and I wish I could stay home that day.
IMO it won't get better unless you let it get better. and by that I mean accept the fact that you have to work. If not I think people end up bitter and resentful that they can't stay home. Your DS will be perfectly fine in daycare or with family or whatever....he won't love you less or love someone else more.
I agree. Trust me, there will be days where you will be happy to hand him off and go to work. 
It does get easier as they get older. I promise. I have 2 boys already and 1 baby on the way. I don't have to work full time, but i like working. Plus i feel like my kids are more well rounded for it (they get grandparents time and plenty of social interaction at the sitters).

I know that feeling! Sometimes by Monday morning, I am RUNNING out the door to work.

DD is 16 months and it just gets easier with time.
