I don't get how they can say no one was smoking when that picture SHOWS the guy smoking (unless she doesn't consider cigarettes "smoking").

Don't you know it was probably just a "candy" cigarette, since they were just kids having fun.

I saw that letter last night, and I have a feeling one of the attendees reads this site based on some of what she was saying. I also find it strange that another attendee confirmed that naked men were using the hula hoops (8 of them), but this one says they were only on the dance floor.
I am sure they told all the nude people to just stand in the middle of the floor and not touch anything or participate even though they spent $$ to get in like everyone else. (sarcasm intended here)
They probably read it here. We are the largest group of LI moms on a website I would bet.

Heck, my nephew was in a hospital room visiting a relative and found a pill on the floor and was about to put it in his mouth. Is the situation skeevy - of course it is - I do not contest that. Perhaps it is because I am a natural skeptic but I never trust anyplace like this - they are all Petri dishes which is why I don't take my kids there. And ball pits? Completely out of the question! They have found hypodermic needles in ball pits before. People have affairs on school desks even! The fact that one may not expect something like this to happen does not mean it doesn't and stuff like this probably happens more often than we know about.
I don't mean this as an argument towards you, just wanted to reply though with my opinion.
I would NEVER trust any child in a hospital of all places, without watching every move they make. I would "expect" there could be a forgotten pill or even sharp item that could have fallen on the floor. But how many people watch EVERY SINGLE move their child makes in a place like this? Most moms sit and chat, and they let their child go be free to have fun, b/c they EXPECT it's a safe, clean, well run place! So again that's totally a different senario. A hospital is NOT a child's SAFE clean play place.
And I don't know about anyone else but whenever we are in a hotel room, I am very cautious about what could be around, and what has gone on. We actually TELL our DD in a hotel room that it's not HOME, that the same rules don't apply as those that are at home (for safety reasons). I always inspect any hotel room I am going to be staying in, for the safety of my child.

Krazy Kids - ***Update: Nancy Grace Segment!!*** Party attendee writes open letter to The Patch
This letter is damage control, plain and simple and I don't believe a word of it. I'm more inclined to believe the original party witness who said that there were a bunch of nude people using the hula hoops. Also, I have to agree that pictures showed smoking of whatever kind, which the letter disputes, so the credibility in that letter is completely out the window for me. While it's not my cup of tea, I have no problem with any of these types of parties happening in the appropriate venue. To each their own. I have issue with it happening at a kid's party place. The idea of the snail trail and someone's azz where kid's will be playing is beyond gross. Especially when unsuspecting people are paying to let their kid's play there. Personally, I am not a fan of these places to begin with. I expect that they are breeding grounds for germs, but germs and someone's private parts possibly all over the equipment to me are 2 completely different things. I also think that whatever happened there must have been bad enough for there to be something left over( dirty, or smell of booze or smoke) for the owner to have cleaned the place top to bottom before the next party. But that's the other issue I have. Why would the owner book almost back to back parties? And why lie about the sprinklers to the poor dad? If the owner(s) initially thought that this party was no big deal then just be honest to the dad when he asked. Or if the owner(s) felt bad about the party after it happened then why not contact the parent's of the next party ASAP and try to reschedule? Neither of the above happened so personally I feel like the owner didn't just have a "lapse of judgement". Personally I feel like the owner was more upset he got caught then that he let the party happen and that annoys me.

Parents also have to sign waivers when they bring their children there. Did these adults sign the same waivers? What about equipment weight limits and all of that? This is a liability nightmare. As if the nudity and possible drug use were not enough.
Plain and simple - it was WRONG to have this type of party at this type of venue. NO ONE can argue that.

Seriously? People actually DON'T see the problem with this? That's the problem!!! I'm disgusted that people actually think what happened was okay. Kids' places are dirty enough without other *ahem* factors coming into play. I'm grossed out by what my prude imagination is coming up with. We don't like sick kids going to school but we're okay with naked or half-naked adults playing on their toys. Amazing.

I don't get how people keep saying no big deal. I honestly could care less about the kind of party they had. Sounds fun, I guess. What my issue is, is the venue. A kids bounce house should be just that, a KIDS bounce house. That is what it is advertised as and that is what you pay for. If they advertised it as a kids play place in the am and a parents party place at night, I would not bring kids there. It is in noway comparable to my bedroom or a hotel room bc ppl have sex there. i know going to a hotel, maybe not so nice things were done there andd i still choose to stay.My bedroom may very well be where my kids were concieved, but I know neither my dh or I have any communicable diseases. The fact is, sex or no sex, drugs or no drugs, these things should be disclosed when I make a decision to allow my kids to slide down a slide or play in the ball pits. It is a big deal TO ME. And everyone who is ok with it keeps sayingthe ones who are not are prude or are forcing their opinion on others. Seems the forcing of opinions goes both ways.
This!!!

Oh good lord....the Garden of Eden has been destroyed? Dramatic much?
As for Sodom and Gomorrah- wrong there too, I just don't want anyones nasty adult ass where my kids face will be. Nothing more nothing less. I wouldn't want you to rub your bare ass on their face nor do I want their face touching someplace your bare ass was. Equally gross. Be naked and free all you want....just not at a bouncy place.

Krazy Kids - ***Update: Nancy Grace Segment!!*** Party attendee writes open letter to The Patch
Another disturbing aspect to this story is the family who's party took place a few hours later. The owner or workers flat out lied/covered up by saying the sprinklers went off when questioned about the wet conditions. That goes beyond a case of the stupids. It is a blatant disregard for the kids who ended up playing in that fresh chemical bath. Shows me the mentality of the owner and again why I feel he's sorry...that he got caught!

Ive seen this thread linked ALL over. On a side note - THIS is why I keep my guard up on here and am vague about my kids and family. Not bc I don't want to share, but bc you NEVER know who is reading these boards.

Also, all the people saying it's fine, there is nothing wrong with this. Would you be okay if your child's pre-school or daycare rented out their space for adult parties after hours? excellent point! This is exactly why I find this to be so wrong.... Do what you want, where you want that is not in question. Don't do it in a child's facility.

ITA! By no means is anyone a prude or a Pollyanna who feel this way. It's was just the wrong/inappropriate venue to host such a party.
