Easy for me to say bc my DD never liked a pacifier, but if she is falling asleep and staying asleep but just waking up early, I would try to tough it out without the pacifier instead of having to deal with it later when they are more stubborn

I would give it back. Like a PP mentioned, I've also read that using a pacifier reduces the risk of SIDS. DS is 7 months and still uses his. I'm going to wait a little while to take it away.

This...4 months is too young to have them deal with it.

yes! I'd give it back b/c she's is still so young.
I plan on taking my ds' paci away around 18-20 months. I am scared because I know it's going to be pure hell for me.

It would be one thing if she was 1+ but 4 mos is still so young. They have a need to suck, and its soothing for them. I'd def give it to her.
