SAHMs what are your plans for the summer?

I look forward to the summer when dd is home from school. I will have both girls all day together I want to have a plan this summer, getting them out and I'm looking for new ideas now that I have two. Dd2 will be a yr and dd1 will be 4.


Are there any summer passes? Pools? Water parks?

I plan on getting a pool pass at my local pool. Also, looking for stroller friendly trails to take walks on.

Having babies!

I'm due this summer, so I plan to load up the backyard with lots of fun outdoorsy toys (swing set, pool, sprinklers, etc.) and we'll be spending a majority of our time out there... lots of playdates will be taking place here!

We also have the NY Zoo/Aquarium pass that we got a lot of use out of last summer! I probably won't make it to any of these places until the Fall, but it is really worth the investment.

My DD will be 5 in September. I signed her up for two weeks of "classes" in July through our school district. One is a Kindergarten prep class to get them use to the classroom and routines and the other is a Luau Party where they make crafts, cook, listen to island music etc. Finishes up with a big Luau at the end of the two weeks.

Through her dance school she is taking a Princess Dance Camp that is 2hrs/day for a week at the end of July. They will dance, do crafts, make snacks, etc.

I also want to sign her up for swim lessons and classes through our library. Other than that, we'll just hang out at home, go to the park, visit with friends (all of my friends are teachers so they are around all summer) and just have fun. Should be a nice summer.

I have 3 under 28 months and i plan to get out as mich as possible but somethings i wont be able to so alone..i want to keep everyone safe and in one piece lol. I think the beach will have to be for weekends with dh or with my mom.

Im preggo so I hope to be able to keep my energy up.

Pool pass, have the zoo pass. (we go on days where they threaten rain because it scares a lot of people away), museum trips, bouncy places, day trips, back yard fun... DS is 3.5 years old...

Am I a horrible mother because I don't have a plan? It's summer, we just go where ever. I don't have money for any kind of classes so we just find stuff to do.

I am a SAHM with a 2 year old and an almost 2 month old. Besides our family vacation in August, I have my older DS signed up for swimming lessons and a class at the Little Gym. We will hopefully go to the beach & the sprinkler park, my mother's pool at least once a week, maybe more. Spend time with friends. DH is not working Friday's this summer, so we hope to use those days to go to the Bronx Zoo, LI Aquarium, LI Game Farm, etc.

Pregnant with twins so DS who will be 3 will be going to camp 3x a week for 4 hours. I feel so guilty not being able to do what we usually do so we enrolled him. Typically we do some sort of vacation in the summer for a week to 10 days. Obviously that is not happening this summer. Also a lot of my friends are home in the summer so I typically keep myself very busy seeing them at least once a week. Last year we had an Empire Pass and I took DS to the beach a lot! We usually frequent a lot of parks with sprinklers and visit with our playgroup.

The babies are due in mid July so I doubt I will be getting out much. MIL will be coming in from out of state at the end of August. She will be staying 5 weeks . Hopefully she starts interacting more with DS. It would be nice if she could take him to the park or out for an hour block once in a while. I'm hoping she starts to feel more comfortable driving so that she can get out of the house alone. There is no way I can cart her around. Hopefully this summer we can keep our backyard's mosquito population under control b/c that seems like our best possibility.

SAHMs what are your plans for the summer?

I really wanted to get him into some sort of active program but most places start at 3 (DS is 2) So, nothing really. Just some playgrounds and museums, and library classes, but nothing different than the usual.

I'm a SAHM of 2 boys who will be 3 & 3.5 this summer. My family lives in Maine & we have a summer cottage there. My hubby is extremeyy busy in the summer, so his vacation time is limited. I'll be taking the boys for a total of 6 weeks away, not all at one time. Then we will spend the remainder of the summer in the yard in the pool & water table.
