Moms of boys

Please tell me it gets easier. My friends say the first 3 years is hard. I am expecting something magical to happen when DS#1 turns 3. He fell and cut his face open this morning. DH is now waiting with him at the ER for the plastic surgeon to show up. This is after he busted his lips open twice this week. DS#2 is an angel but he pee all over the wall today. I am starting to see his personality develop and is looking much like his older brother. I always imagine them to love each other but they fight more than anything else.

I have 2 boys , 3 and 4.5. It's impossible someone is always whining , hurt, crying, fighting etc. something is always being broken etc. I think it will get easier when they start kindergarden and out of the house most of the day

my ds is turning 4.. there are days he may test us a little but we didn't have terrible 2s or 3s... we use time outs or takinng away a toy and that cuts down on repeat behavior.

You must keep them in line that's what I did and so far, so good

I have 2 boys, 7.5 and 9. They are constant energy, constant motion. At this age all of that energy is put into sports and video games so the troublesome, mischievous part of that behavior is definitely lessened. Unfortunately the sports part leads to yet more trips to the ER.

I hear people say "thank God I don't have boys" all the time, but to me, there's nothing like being a boy mommy. Every day is a new adventure!!

I have 2 boys 3.5 & 2.5 and its a constant battle. The younger seemed like an angel until he hit 2, then he became my devil. He does things the older never even attempted. I'm beyond exhausted but looking forward to my older starting nursery school 3 days a week in September. Everyone tells me it gets easier but I see with my older nephews, there are new challenges like the attitudes & talking back.

I have 3 boys 4, 23 months and 8 weeks. My house is complete chaos. My 2 older boys beat each other up and fight ALL day long. Someone is always screaming or crying about something. Ds 2 often does things he isn't supposed to do while ds1 encourages him.
Besides how they are together they are a handful alone. Ds2 had staples put in his head at 13 months. Several black eyes. Ds1 has avoided serious injury because he is to busy coaching Ds2
DH has 3 brothers and keeps telling me it will get better and worse all at the same time.

my sonds are 3.5years and a month out...the 3 year old is full of energy has been none stop since he could walk...i think 3 so far honestly has been his worst age with his attitude showing threw...cant wait for him to start sports and hopefully mellow out a bit

My wise friend Jenn from site told me its the Terrible 2's, Torturous 3's and F&cked 4's! I'm hoping it gets better next year!! Because so far, 4 sucks ass!

DS is 4. He got a little better once he started school at 3 1/2 but some days are more challenging than others.

MIL said DH was an angel when he was young but he turned into a terror as a teen until a young adult so I am hoping the opposite holds true for DS!

We never went through the terrible 2's or 3's or anything like that with my oldest. He's a really good kid.

My youngest i think might be more challenging but we'll see how that plays out.

I'm glad I'm not alone on this. I really, really hope DS#2 stays the way he is. He is so mellow and easy going right now.

Mine are 2 and 4 .......I think it depends on their personalities.

Sean is more cautious and mellow and can get wild and crazy w/ his friends. - Colin is just wild and crazy by nature.

oh gosh! mine is only 6 weeks now and I'm dreading the "let's get dirty!!" phase LOL. From what my husband says he and his brother were a handful. If anything, it will make for interesting stories when they're older :)

They are best friends, play together a lot. It is nice that way. But they can be loud, crazy, rough with each other, both paying and fighting. My first son is not a daredevil, though. He is cautious by nature. The younger one is bolder.

I just try and give them a chance to expend that energy, in a safe way. Playing outside, even dancing to loud music helps to burn off steam.

I don't wish I had girls, though. No matter what gender, no parent has an easy time of it. At some point, your kid will give you grief. My niece was an angel for so many years, and is now a moody 10 year old who snaps at everyone in her house. My sister in law is ready to jump through a window after spending 15 minutes with her in the morning.

DS1 is 4. He has always been a pretty good kid. The first few months after turning 3 were rough, but that was fairly short lived. He thought it was funny to not listen, getting out of the house was a constant battle, etc. Now he gets a little hyper at times especially with friends, but he's pretty calm at home.

DS2 is 9 months. We never really had to baby proof with DS1 because he could easily be redirected. DS2 isn't crawling yet, but he's into everything. He'll throw himself towards something he wants, but isn't supposed to have. He's such a sweet baby, but I know once he's really mobile, I'll be in trouble. We definitely have to baby proof everything with him.
