? for moms of boys re: level 2 ultrasounds

We had our level 2 today Chat Icon and opted not to find out the sex - but of course we have a guess. . .

Was it obvious if your baby was a boy in the level 2? Did the technician have to point "it" out or could you see it without help?

Even though we didnt want to find out the sex, I kept looking at the area where the genitalia would be - and I dont think I saw anything - but who knows.

It was VERY obvious to me. I was happy I wanted to know because I totally saw it before she asked me if I wanted to know the sex. There were blatantly two legs and little weiner in the middle!!! Chat Icon

I had a boy and didn't find out at the level 2. We wanted to be surprised. I also thought I didn't see anything, so I was convinced it was a girl. Well, obviously I was wrong!! Chat Icon I was soo shocked when they said boy when he was born. So don't be too sure that it's NOT a boy.

I remember at my level 2 - DH saw both. He thought he saw a penis and ovaries - lol So obviously in our case - no it was not obvious. We were convinced we were having a girl and had a boy!

I didn't find out but I couldn't make out that he was a boy. I was looking and trying to figure things out. I guess parts weren't that obvious!

Once she showed us, we could see, but before that we couldn't.

Well, with DD I swore I saw "something" during the Level II...swore it! Yeah, no!

I was just talking to a friend yesterday who is expecting a boy in March and she said she would never have known if the tech didn't point it out to her.

So, I think really, you never know!

they pointed it out but only until she moved the wand so you saw his behind and then you saw what was in between the legs

Having only seen detailed pics of girls I had no clue what I was looking at. The tech did point it out to us, from the bottom side, like looking up between his legs...it was obvious at that point. Otherwise, from all other pics, nothing "screamed" boy.

same here!
there was absolutely no doubt we were having a little boy.. he was proud to show off his goods ... even the tech was quite amused/embarrassed/inpressed and his lack of shyness Chat Icon (typical male Chat Icon Chat Icon)

They had to point it out to us.

To be honest, with two in there I often lose track of who and what I'm looking at on the screenChat Icon
