Do you use distilled water for your warm or cool mist humidifier?

It was recommended to use distilled water with our cool mist humidifier so it wouldn't disperse minerals. Are you supposed to do the same with a warm mist humidifer?

same, I never thought to use anything else. I usually swish a vinegar/water mixture in it after each use

same, I never thought to use anything else. I usually swish a vinegar/water mixture in it after each use



tap as well. Then once a week or more often depending on how much use we soak the parts in vinegar and wash them.

We use brita filtered water but that's because our house isn't plumbed for soft water. Our water is notoriziously hard here and will leave residue. Some filtration does help it a bit but rarely use tap water for anything other than cleaning, cat's water, and maybe pasta. All else we use the pitcher
