It makes me sick to think this is the world I'm about to bring a new child into.
My son was born a week after 9/11. I know that feeling. There is so much good still in this world. Being the best parent you can be can ensure that good still exists.

We're in Stratford.
I know they say no danger to the public but there's also reports of possible second/third shooters still floating.

sadly yes, they said they have to be identified. this is just so heartbreaking
I just heard, teachers made kids put their hands over their eyes when walking out so they couldn't see their fellow classmates on the floor.

I want to run up to my oldest dd's school and hold her. I can't imagine what those poor babies last moments were like.
However, I saw the photo of the teachers taking kids out and they looked calm so it shows that they had the kids bet interest at heart.

OMG I can't take this. I lived 2 towns away in Ridgefield before moving to Boston, and we rent our house there now. These are quaint little quiet towns.
I am so sad right now.

I am heartbroken for these poor families. I cannot even imagine sending my child to school like any other day and this happening.
I read a report from a woman who was in a meeting at the school at 9:30am. She said there was a 'pop pop pop' noise from the hallway and 3 people went out to see what it was. Only 1 returned.

From CNN:
The death toll is closer to 30 than 20, a federal law enforcement source in Washington told CNN's John King. Most of those killed are children, the source said.
The source also said the suspected gunman, who is dead, had a connection to the school. He would not elaborate on that connection. The source is in touch with authorities on the scene.

HOLY SHIT the parent of the gunman was found shot to death in their house.

This is two towns over from us. This is too close to home.
They're saying that the gunman went from room to room shooting. I am bawling my eyes out right now. I can't even comprehend this, nevermind explain this to my older DD
I can't imagine.
