Month 3-4. Month 2 was the hardest for me.
Once they can use the exersaucer, I was in heaven.
I would like to send the inventor flowers

When does it get easier?
It gets better (for us around 9 weeks) The first 2 months, I barely remember. I cried all the time. I wanted OUT. I was like I will never ever ever sleep again. But then..it happend..he woke up in the middle of the night after 3 WHOLE hours of sleeping. My world started changing. The constant OMG IS THAT A CRY stopped. Every ped is different, ours told us it was ok for a teaspoon of rice in his bedtime bottle. Also he had some reflux so that helped. He got out of our room and into his own. That was huge. We swaddled. I got out more. Even now, when he wakes up, for fun we call like my mom and he babbles on the phone. That is cute. Trust me, you are not alone.

Re: When does it get easier?
8 weeks here too! Make sure you're getting out for sunlight. Even if its for 10 minute quick walk. I know that sounds so weird/silly. I wasn't leaving the house and my mom said sunlight/vitamin D would help and it actually did.

Re: When does it get easier?
My girls are only 6 weeks so idk when it gets easier. I have been taking twin 2 to dr apts myself because I have no choice. DH stays home with twin 1 while I go. I also try to go run errands while DH watches them whenever he is home. Target is like a huge outing for me and its like "I'M FREEE" lol. I havent taken them out to stores yet but will start because otherwise I'm tied down to the house. I took them both out to a playdate today which was fun. All the babies sat in their carseats while the mommies had bagels so it was fun for the mommies lol. Do you have other mommies around that you can gtg with?

Re: When does it get easier?
My experience was a little different, bc they were 2 months early and spent their first 4 weeks in NICU.
I will tell you when they started to STTN and I was not delerious from sleep deprivation, I started to actually ENJOY my children and not just "Survive"
Once you get into a routine, and everyone starts sleeping, all will fall into place. The first few weeks are HARD, really hard. so dont beat yourself up Hang in there, there is a light, I SWEAR!!!!

It's tough in the beginning but it will get easier soon. Are you getting out of the house much? Going for a walk isn't really my thing, so I used to go to BRU, Carters, or Target just to get out. It really helps the day go by and so you won't feel so alone. It also helped me forget that I was tired!
Not really. It's so difficult to get out it doesn't even seem worth the effort.
ETA: I actually want to reschedule a drs appt because I can't deal with another bad day. And going out tends to throw of the days schedule.
Getting out is the best thing you can do. Have a bag always packed with diapers, wipes, clothes, burp cloths, a toy and anything else you need so you don't have to worry about getting it all together and forgetting something. Feed the baby, change the baby and then GO
my ds is 8 months and i still do this!! int he beginning by the time i packed up to leave it was time to feed again... best thing when you need to just get out...everyone thought i was nuts...but if i just want to go...i throw in food and a bottle and go...5 mins out the door...!

Re: When does it get easier?
I think we can all relate to what you're going through. My goodness, it is SO hard in the beginning. For me with my two, it got better around 10 weeks when they started sleeping for longer stretches. That was huge. Then they really start to become more interactive and sturdy which helps too.
Oh ITA w pushing yourself to go out regularly. It makes such a difference. Go to target, around the block, the mall just to walk... Get out of the house. just be prepared with supplies and you can definitely do it!

Re: When does it get easier?
It does...i swear!!! Four me, simple things helped. I got up before dh went to work and got washed up and dressed and ate breakfast. It was early but i felt human. I put on real clothes! I went for walks. Even just to Dunkin donuts helped. But it might be timefor dh to give you an hour...by yourself.

Re: When does it get easier?
OMG its going to be tough to survive if I have to go through this for a few more months. DD doesn't sleep through the night, she wakes up to eat at least once and then early which wakes me up for the day. For some reason she used to eat 4 ozs every 3 hours. Now in the afternoons she will have 3 ozs every two hours. Usually this lasts from noon until bedtime around 11p. Plus it takes an hour to feed her between burping and changing! That's why it's so difficult to go out. DH annoys me because he has this whole "i'm so tired"act down. He fell asleep at 8 last night. And falls asleep while he's feeding her so he's no help to me. DD kept me up until 1am!! And then woke up to eat at 3.

Re: When does it get easier?
Sorry you're having such a rough time. I did too at first, and really thought that I was going to lose my mind...and my DH was pretty helpful! I agree with the ladies who say to try to get out, even if it's just for a walk when it's not too cold. It took me a long time to feel secure enough to go out to a store alone with DD, but taking a walk around the neighborhood really helped. If you live in walking distance to any stores, or even a Dunkin Donuts, make that a short outing. Go out for an hour right after a bottle. Once you start doing it, you get into more of a routine and it doesn't seem as daunting.
Things definitely got easier around 8 weeks, and progressively after that, but still had rough patches at times. I remember when DD was just over 3 months and having a screaming fit for some unknown reason, crying to her, "you're not a newborn anymore, I thought you were supposed to get easier!"
Best of luck with everything, and always feel free to vent. We have all been there!

I think it got better at 8 weeks for us. If you could find some new mommies that really helps. Take walks outside if you can. I know its getting colder but I swear it made me feel human being out with everyone.

Re: When does it get easier?
for DS it was 3 months. Depression was gone and his sleep improved. I am hoping my DC #2 will not be so hard. I promise it was all worth it.
