Graco cribs...yay or nay?
Hi all! I haven't been on here in forever. Had baby #2 in August & have just been very busy adjusting to life as mom of 2 since. Anyway - need to buy a crib for the baby. I bought a better, nicer one for DD but will convert it to full size bed when she's ready. Fell in love with a navy blue furniture set for DS at Land of Nod but they don't do the navy in a crib - so I'm looking for a safe & good inexpensive crib since I will not be converting it to a bed later on (will be getting the navy bed that goes with rest of furniture set).
Read some great reviews on the Graco Sarah crib and was just wondering if any of you have a Graco crib how do you like it? I can get it from BRU, Walmart or Amazon. I hate BRU customer service so thinking I'll order from Walmart in case I need to return for any reason.
TIA for any input & hope everyone is well & survived Sandy ok.

Re: Graco cribs...yay or nay?
i say go for it. we have the Graco Somerset for DS, and have been happy with it. In our case, we adopted him at 21 months old... so we knew he wouldn't be in a crib for long, if at all. But, we wanted to give it a shot So I found Graco Somerset at Target for less than $200. its pretty good quality and has been holding up well the past few months. i would say its fine for something you only plan on using for a couple years...
It does convert to a toddler bed and a full sized bed. BUT, his room is not that big, so I think instead of converting it to a full sized bed, we'll just get him a really nice twin bed when the time comes. that way, he'll have more room to play, hang out, etc in his room.

I have a graco crib and love it. I believe the name is Lauren. I've not tried to convert it yet, but it has held up nicely for a year now. Lowering the mattress was easy and they have 3 different heights for the mattress. The quality is good. The only noticeable difference between ours and more expensive cribs is that with the graco you can clearly see the screws holding it together. It's purely aesthetic, but (at least to me) its very noticeable. Even so, I would still buy it again.

The Graco Sarah and the Graco Lauren are highly recommended and well reviewed. If you are determined to get an inexpensive crib, those two cribs are the route to go.

We love our Lauren crib. Well, I love it, DS hates the crib in general.
ETA: got it from Target.
