Everyone (even STRANGERS) tell me DS looks NOTHING like me. I assure them I was there when he was born though
While I don't see a resemble to myself, I see other family members (from my side) that DS resembles.

When my DS was born he had a head full of dark hair and looked exactly like my DH as a baby....like a clone of DH actually... but nothing like me.
At 2.5 years old, his hair has gotten MUCH lighter and he has blue eyes. He looks only a little like DH now but A LOT like my brother and sister....who both have light hair and blue eyes. And of course he still looks nothing like me. Go figure..... 
My sister on the other hand has a DD who looks EXACTLY like her (and nothing like her DH)...... and a DS who looks EXACTLY like her DH (and nothing like her)

My DS looked a lot like my DH when he was a baby. Now he is a combination of the both of us. He has more of my features, like my eyes and my smile. His profile is like his fathers.
ETA: My sister has two boys. As newborns they looked so much alike to me. But by 3 mos, you could tell one was clearly like his father and the other is clearly like my sister. Even their skin coloring is slightly different. They are both such cute little boys though.

my DS has blonde hair and blue eyes, DH and I have dark hair and eyes. People joke and ask me what my mailman looks like.
He does look like my DH though, despite the light features.

My oldest looks like me & actually a spitting image of my brother & nephew. My youngest looks like me too but resembles my.DH.
Everyone tells me even complete strangers that my genes are extremely strong bc both boys look a lot like me. My dh even comments that if he didn't know better he would think there was a mix up at the hospital
