Postpartum question?!
Hi. My 2 children are exactly 2 years apart- so my weight has been all over the place in the past few years. Here's my concern: I had my son in November. I had a physical in March and weighed 176. In the summer, I weighed 172. Just recently I weighed myself and I'm near 167. Being that I already have anxiety, I'm giving myself panic attacks bec of hearing/seeing that 10lbs of unintentional weight loss can mean cancer.
Can it just be from chasing 2 kids and working full time? Or should I see a doctor. I feel completely fine.
Thank you!!!!

Postpartum question?!
I ended up losing 30lbs in a month and it was due to stress and breastfeeding. I saw my ob and he said its normal because we're sleep deprived and sometimes we forget to eat ( I was guilty of that). If yiu're worried I would call your dr and see if they think you should come in.

I think that's your anxiety talking. I wouldn't right away think a weight loss would be attributed to cancer. I know when I am stressed I sometimes lose weight. 2 little kids is a lot! It's probably just your baby weight coming off coupled with the stress of 2 children.

Re: Postpartum question?!
If you are worried see a doctor just to give yourself some peace of mind. But I really doubt its cancer. Stress really can lower your weight and the more you stress about it, the more weight you might lose.
Also, after pregnancy a lot of women's thyriods get out of wack. Maybe have your thyriod checked. I had an over active thyriod and lost weight from that. Thyriods can be easily regulated and go right back to normal.
Good luck and don't stress to much!

Re: Postpartum question?!
So you lost 9lbs in a period of 6 months!?!?! I would think that it's normal plain weight loss. It could be that you're more active or due to diet changes. I wouldn't think there was a problem at all. Now if you lost 10 lbs in a week I think it would be a cause for concern, but it's been 6 months. Even water weight you can fluctuate 5 or so lbs.
I wouldn't worry at all.
