Old Navy rock star skinny jeans/cords
If you have these and you bought them in your regular size, are they super tight on your butt?
I bought them in my regular size and one size up. Regular size is suuuuuper tight on my butt, but I am also 37 weeks pregnant so I don't know if they just run tight or it's my preggo butt. I wanted to order a few more pairs online since they're on sale, but I don't want to order 2 sizes of each and then have to deal with returning them.

Re: Old Navy rock star skinny jeans/cords
I just purchased 2 pairs today. While I love the look, I'm not loving the size I purchased Normally in ON jeans, pants, shorts, I wear a size 4 or 6. In these pants, I purchased a size 10!! I tried on the 6 and couldn't even get them up my thighs!! The 8 was better but I had a HUGE camel toe The 10 fit in the butt and thighs, but are big in the waist...even with a belt. I'm going to try them on again later and see if I'm definitely keeping them!
Hope that helps!

Re: Old Navy rock star skinny jeans/cords
I don't know about the cords but Rock Star skinny jeans run VERY small. I am a 2 or a 4 depending on the store and I wear a 6 in ON Rock Star skinnies. When I was a 6/8 in ON, I wore a 10 in the Rock Star jeans.
ETA: I don't know if I agree with myself anymore, and after thinking about the jeans I own I posted again below

Re: Old Navy rock star skinny jeans/cords
Thanks for the replies ladies! If you buy them in bigger sizes though, are they still tight enough on your ankles? That's what I love about these...I can never find pants that are tight enough at the bottom. I usually wear a 6, but I think I am going to order them in an 8 and just pray that it's not a colossal mistake to order clothes while I'm pregnant

Forget old navy. Spend a little more and go to GAP. I got a pair there last year and I get so many compliments on them. They seem to be true to size, too.

Are they very tight through the leg/angle? That is what I am looking for, but I feel like everything gets bunchy around my knees.

Do they stretch like every other pair of ON jeans?
They seriously get 10 sizes bigger while wearing them!

I find their sizing very strange and inconsistent. Go to Gap with a coupon or when they do BOGO 50% off, and you can get better quality jeans for only a few bucks more. ON isn't even that cheap anymore. Their prices are almost the same as Gap or Banana outlet.

Re: Old Navy rock star skinny jeans/cords
I tried on sizes 8-14 yesterday and either they were way too tight or way too big.
I think that's why they were on sale for $19.
They also had capri skinnys mixed in with the jeans and I found that different washes in the same size fit differently, as well.

I got them and had to go up a size. I asked the girl in the store and she said everyone goes up a size in those. So I didn't feel so bad!!

Same here!! Now I am paranoid that they are baggy in the butt/thigh area after a few hours, but DH swears they look fine.

Total agree. I stopped shopping at ON due to inconsistant sizing and declining quality. I just dont trust anything from there anymore.

Yes. They were very skinny. Fit like a glove. Mine are a deep purple and I <3 them. They are my go to jeans. The one thing in my wardrobe that makes me feel fashionable these days :)

Re: Old Navy rock star skinny jeans/cords
I had to go up to an 8 or 10
I am normally a 6- I was not feeling it
I went to saks off 5th and neimans last call- got $90 jeans for $35 with the sale and they fit great
I didn't like how they fit and I paid the same amount for ones that fit perfectly and are size 28s

Re: Old Navy rock star skinny jeans/cords
Old Navy needs to learn the art of vanity sizing with these things.
As irrational as it is, women do NOT like to see a larger size than they are used to on that tag. It's silly as heck, but it's the truth.
That would bother me.
They should just size them properly

I wouldn't have bought the 8 even if they looked good
just couldn't do it
I am wearing a size 0 Banana republic dress today- it's probably really a 4- but I am very happy
so they don't need to go too far to learn how to do this

Re: Old Navy rock star skinny jeans/cords
really weird, my sister got me a pair this summer of the rockstar skinny capris in my normal size and I looked at them and thought they would never fit as they look so small. They fit fine though and i love them! they are so stretchy and hold the shape really well- I've worn them twice without washing a few times and they still looked great.
I do agree that old navy is really inconsistent with sizing and quality though. It's hit or miss, but for the prices, that's almost to be expected.

I have tiny legs and no ass and I have to buy them in an 8. I love them so I don't mind buying the 8, I also know the sizing is like 4 sizes off

OK, I give up. I went to the store today to try them on again. The ones in store were not nearly as tight through the knee and ankle as the ones I bought in store last month.

I wear a 6 in them. I also wear a 6 in AE Painter jeans which run the same way. Most of my work clothes are Banana Republic and I would look like 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag in anything smaller than a 6. lol

Like I said- ON is SOOOO inconsistant with their sizing that even 2 pairs of the same jeans in the same size can be different. It's like they are rolling off different production lines or something. I have given up on them completely!

See now the vanity sizing annoys the crap out of me. I KNOW I'm not a size 2 but that's the size of Gap jeans that fit me. I think the ON rock star skinnies are more true to size! I wear a 6 in those. I'd rather be told the truth and stay healthy then obsess over a number. I mean come on - the Gap Long and Lean jeans I have are a 0. The size 2's were HUGE. That's not even amusing. I'm 5'4" and 124 and not at all in shape No WAY am I a 0!! The vanity sizing has gotten way out of hand.

agreed. Honestly it dosent bother me what I fit in as long as it fits and looks good.
I will go into juniors and take the 9 if needed. whatever. I got hips. I know the deal. Plus if it helps being comfy and not offer a muffin top...even better!
to answer OP- Gap skinnies are a better fit and are nice and snug in the areas you want snug. I feel those run a tad big and I wear a 4 in those.

Re: Old Navy rock star skinny jeans/cords
Believe it or not I like my Target skinnies better than the Old Navy rock star ones. The Old Navy just didn't work for me. I also have a pair of black Gap premium skinnies that are great too.
