Stammering in 2 year old?
The past few weeks I have noticed my DD stammering. Like instead of "I want water" its "I wan, I wan, I wan, I want water" or "You, you, you cutting that apple?" Its not every single sentence, but its definitely enough that it's noticeable. Normal or cause for concern? She is 26 months, BTW.

Re: Stammering in 2 year old?
Just spoke to my mom about this (who has a speech pathology degree). She said to keep an eye on it, but not to panic yet. A toddler's brain works faster than their mouth, and stuttering at this age is common.

This. DD did this for a while on and off around that age. She has stopped doing it now for a while (she's 3.5).

Totally normal. DS did this for a little while and then it just stopped. I wouldn't worry.

DS did this around 2, and every once and while does it now. It happens when his brain is working faster than he can speak. We just let him catch up with what he wants to say. Just make sure you don't rush DD, let her just get out what she wants to say. (I had a family member that did this to his daughter and it made it worse).

Totally normal for that age. My son started doing that around 2 also. I asked one of the speech therapists where I work about it and she said it is actually considered a stage of typical speech development and that no speech therapist would even consider it potentially problematic until at least 3 or 4. Most kids go through it and most outgrow it. Mine did, except when he's overtired.

Re: Stammering in 2 year old?
jack started doing this at like 2.5..it was very noticeable. so much so that he would have to catch his breath while trying to speak. at almost 3 he does it once in a while if he's excited and cant spit the words out.
i've been told that if he's not blinking rapidly or twitching while doing it, that its probably fine. their brains and mouth cant keep up with one another.

Sorry to hijack, but out of curiosity, what would it indicate if that was happening?

My son did this around that age. He stopped after a few weeks. I spoke to his pediatrician, she said to not call attention to it and it is common around that age bc their mind is moving faster than their mouth can.
