i would def. get more!
spit up and other accidents happen so you want to have a few back ups!
i would get about 2-3 in each size per twin.
i would put a onesie, one piece pj, then sleep sack
swaddle sacks are great too! i used those first and when LO got bigger moved to sleep sacks.

I agree. I would get the small size instead of newborn because they can wear them a little longer.

we had two smalls (for one baby) that lasted most of last winter. i only used them in the winter. i think i bought one medium and interchanged it with the smalls when she reached the weight limit for the smalls (although they lasted her past what the weight limit said). this winter i will prob just use a blanket since she will be 18m+

Re: sorry to crash..sleep sack question..

We had probably 4-5, which was good because in the winter she wore them most nights. Yes, they are warm enough in pjs and the sleep sack. It basically takes the place of a blanket since you shouldn't put blankets in their crib. I liked having more so I didnt have to do laundry every day.

I'd get a few more. I also like the Halo Sleep sacks that had the swaddle included because she LOVED to be swaddled until like 4.5 months.

Definitely get a minimum of 2 NB and 2 smalls. It will save you from having to do a ton of laundry. I also got 2 mediums and 2 larges which are a total waste because DS isn't using them anymore so, IMO, skip those sizes. We used them at night only.

We use them all day. With the idea of a wearable blanket, my thoughts were that I would use a blanket if I were napping.

we used the swaddle ones for ages and just moved to a regular sleep sack in June

Re: sorry to crash..sleep sack question..

I think we got 2 small because I figure I will swaddle in the very beginning. Then I think 2 small or med fleece for winter. I did a bunch of swaddle mes and miracle blankets too. I registered for a bit of everything and I figure ill try them all and if I like one over the other I'll go buy more of that one.

I would start with 2 small for each to make sure your DCs like them. DS 1 wasn't a Sleep Sack kid - he did great in the Swaddle Me. DS 2 is a Sleep Sack kid so I was able to finally use the ones I had.

I had two of the warmer fleece ones and two of the lightweight ones. (size small). I liked having a back up of each in case DD had any issues at night.

ETA - DD just wore pjs (w/ feeties) and the sleep sack at night.

Skip the NB size and just go with smalls to start. I'd say have at least 3. Babies spit up and poop through a lot, so you always want extra on hand. During the day DD napped in the RNP or swing with a blanket on her, so we only used the sleep sacks at night.

We used to use them every night and two was fine. Lately she's been in just a sleeper but we'll add a cotton or fleece sack as it gets cooler. So far she's just napped in whatever she's wearing for the day (or her pj's if she's not dressed yet!)

I have one and never used it. Not sure of the size but you are welcome to have it.

My DS hated to be confined and would scream if we put him in it.

We loved the fleece swaddleme's when they were babies - it has Velcro to make swaddling easier. We didn't use sleep sacks until they were breaking out of the swaddle.

We usually used them at night. During the daym we used fleece footies and with a muslin swaddle like A&A.
