when do naps end??

I think its too early, but my 25 months old son is taking forever to fall asleep at night. He goes in at 730 and isn't falling asleep until 930ish...
Some nights its fine and he talks to himself, others he is crying. Does this mean he doesn't need a nap anymore?!

My dd is just over 3 and still needs a nap. She turns into such a crab between 4 and 5 without one. I think every LO is different though, I have some friends who cut them out before 3. She generally still goes to sleep before 8.

DD was 4.5...shes exhausted by the end of the day now though and goes to bed around 7:30 asleep prob around 8.

my son stopped when he turned 4 but it would have been longer if I hadn't finally taken away the paci at 4. My daughter will stop much earlier. she just turned 2 but i will be happy if i continue to get naps for another year.

DS is 29 months old and shows no signs of dropping his nap. He definitely still needs it IMO because the days he doesn't nap, he's a delirious, cranky wild child.

My DD just recently gave up naps about 3y 8m old.

Maybe you could put him in bed a little later? My little guy is 26 months and has always gone to bed at 9,9:30. He still naps from around 1-3 every day

My son stopped napping everyday right before his 2nd birthday. He would nap every other day or if we were out in the car.. He dropped all his naps by 2.5 y/o. He is almost 3 now and will only nap if in the car... I try and give him some quiet time in the afternoon. He sleeps 10-12 hours most nights now..

Dd is 28 months and around 25 months we had to push her bedtime later. She now goes to bed around 8/8;30.

She still naps 2-3 hours

Ds1 napped until the day he started kindergarten and at almost 6 will still occasionally nap.
Ds2 is 2.5 and still naps almost every day. He can go without if we're out and about for the day. but he will get crabby for a bit around 4pm and will usually go to bed at least a half hour early.

I am always jealous reading these posts...bec it seems everyone on here and IRL have kids older than mine that still nap!! lol

unfortunately the day we gave up the binkie was the day the naps stopped for BOTH my kiddies!

My DD was 27 mo old
My DS was 32 months old

But my DS who is 3.5 yrs old can def still use a nap...but it only happens if we are in a car ride home from a long day!

i think it really depends on the indiv child!

DS will be 4 in December and still naps. He has always gone to bed late though regardless of whether he naps. I'm lucky if he's asleep by 9.

My 3 year old shows no sign of dropping his nap & days he refuses to, he's a cranky mess with.screaming & tantrums galore. He only naps about 1-2 hrs but goes to bed around 9. Any earlier bedtime & its a waste bc we end up sitting there for 45 mins.

My 26 month old still needs his nap & loves it. I can see him napping until kindergarten. He takes 2.5-3 Ur naps & is bed no later then 830.

I hope DD naps until college....

Can you experiment with the naptime or bedtime and see what happens?

My oldest is 3.5 and stills naps. He is a grouch without one! On days with no nap hes down by 7:30 on days with naps 8:30-9pm
