Lets talk diapers
DD is 3 mo and was 8lbs 2 oz at birth. We started off with nb diapers but seem to be rocketing thru size one into size w2 already.
Of course I just bought 234 size 1 diapers and I think she is almost ready for size 2. This is the second time this happened to me. I feel like i just wasted $45
What does everyone else do? Do you buy the smaller packs or am I one of the many that get stuck with a load of non fitting diapers?

Lets talk diapers
DS did that through size 4's he was in them the least amount of time. I kept whatever was still sealed in plastic, and put into ziplocs the ones that were opened. I will use them when I can on the new DC.
I also bought a HUGE box of pampers size 1 when DS was little. He got a horrible diaper rash and I assumed it was from the dry max so I stopped using them. I had 3 unopened packs from the big box. Only recently did I use one of the packs to make a diaper cake for a shower, and the other ones I will try to use this time around.

Re: Lets talk diapers
I don't get big packs until the kid is a size 2.
I warn people about this when they have a kid, no need to stock up.
If you have spares... I'm sure you will find someone who would take them off your hands!

Lets talk diapers
I did the same. My gf just told me today that she just opened a huge pack and her DS now is peeing through them. It sucks to waste, I gave so much away. I now use cloth, so that's no longer a problem.

Re: Lets talk diapers
I just did the same thing with nb and size 1 diapers. And both times I have sold the diapers to ladies on here! Right now dd is like in between size 1-2. I kept a few extra 1's though to make a friend a diaper cake.

Lets talk diapers
I neve had any diapers left over. I always went by the weight on the box. And her weight. Even tho the weigh one he box was off but if she was nearing that weight I always went up a size. When I went to buy more diapers I always looked at her and saw if they were getting tight. When I would get the deals buy 2 get the gc from bru I bought one in her current size and 1 bigger. Sometimes I went into the next size a little early b/c I knew we wouldn't get through a whole box. I never had a problem with diapers. A few leaks here and there but never huge blowouts or anything.
Also alot of times if you look at the size on the diaper box they overlap a few pounds In the begining. So that's what I went by. Hth

Re: Lets talk diapers
Same with my DD. We are at the end of our size 1s, and I can't decide whether to buy more or change to size 2s. I don't want to buy too many 1s and have a lot left. I'll just buy a small pack if we need more. The sizes overlap by two pounds. I'd use the size 1s as long as you can, then save them for your next DC or give them to a friend.
