what time is bedtime for 5 month old
What time do you put your LO down?
We normally put him down around 9 and he wakes up at 7 the next morning. Is this normal, it seems like everything I read they should go down around 7pm?? This will kill me because I only get home at 6:45 but I want to do what is best for my DS.
TIA

I don't think there is a set time as long as Lo gets the right amount of sleep. DS is down between 730 and 8 and is up between 5 and 530.

At 5 months, my DS was probably going to bed around 9. It slowly moved up to 7PM by 7 months of age.

At that age, my son was going to bed at 7:00-7:30, but you do what works best for you and for your LO.

Re: what time is bedtime for 5 month old
I agree with everyone on this one, as long as your LO is getting a proper amount of sleep I dont think it matters what time they go to bed. My DS usually goes to bed around 9pm and wakes up at 8am though lately hes been going to bed at 10-10:30

6:30pm. But he used to wake at 5am for the day (now it's more like 6:30am).
If 9-7 works for you guys, then keep it going.

Re: what time is bedtime for 5 month old
Pretty sure it was around 9... Now that she is 8.5 mo...it is closer to 8 on a good day...haha But I agree with PPer..as long as they are getting enough sleep it is really based on your schedule

Re: what time is bedtime for 5 month old
I try to get her down around 8, sometimes 9, since that's when the other 2 go down. She's still not consistently sleeping thru the night though.

Re: what time is bedtime for 5 month old
We've been slowly inching up his bed time so now we're up to..... 7:30 bath 7:45 PJs 8:00 bottle 8:30 bed (he spits up badly so we keep him upright for a bit after he finishes his bottle as to not lay him on his stomach after a bottle - he normally falls asleep towards then end of the bottle so he's really asleep by about 8:10 or so) He wakes up anywhere between 8-9am
I agree with the other posters though.....do what is working for your family. If he's not cranky or struggling to stay awake, and he's sleeping thru, keep your schedule as is

Re: what time is bedtime for 5 month old
Do what works for you. If he's sleeping 9pm to 7am, that sounds great! DD goes to bed at 7 and wakes at 6 - has since she was 4 months old. She set her own bedtime. Her cousin who is 10 days younger goes to bed closer to 9 / 9:30 and sleeps until 9/10am. Whatever works.

Don't worry about what time your DC goes to bed. If the schedule works for your household then it is fine.
My DS goes to bed between 8-9 because it works for us and him.
There is no right or wrong.

Re: what time is bedtime for 5 month old
He goes to bed at 9.
The twins go to bed at 730 and I need some 1-on-1 time w/ him before he goes to bed. Eventually he'll go to bed at the same time as his brothers.

Re: what time is bedtime for 5 month old
He goes in his co-sleeper anywhere between 7 and 7:30. He gets up for the day usually around 6 or 6:30am.
However, he wakes up at least three or four times in between to be fed
