so upset!!
I have been taking video of DD since she was born to show DH what she is doing during the day and now he just calls me downstairs to tell me that he just deleted everything off the video camera, pictures and all. And YES he didnt back it up before he hit delete. I want to kill him. 12 weeks of memories wiped clean.
If i did that he would be going ballistic. I had to walk away.

I did this once on accident after a trip with DH. Try googling for programs to help you restore the data. When you delete things off a memory card, they are not really gone. I am not a computer whiz or anything so I cant really be specific but google the type of memory card and programs to help recover photos. I had to download a few diff programs before I found one that was free and worked for my camera, but it was worth it! I got all my photos back!!!

DH did they same thing too with our digital camera and was able to download something from the web and was able to retrieve the images for us, but under a different file name, but that can easily be changed.

He deleted the harddrive and the directions say in the booklet "Once deleted, scenes cannot be recovered."
I have been googling and found something I am trying but it looks like its gone.
I want to strangle him cause he keeps telling me its not ihs fault. Im just so surprised that he didnt think to save before deleting. And he told me he saved some which was a complete lie so that I wouldnt go crazy on him.
And to add to that, DD's screaming cause she doesnt want to sleep. I just want to cry more. All of her firsts just gone and he has no patience to "calm a crying child". He thinks a 3m old should CIO. And we should shut the monitor off not to hear her. OMG what?
What did he think this was going to be easy? Give me strength, I cant even.

Oh no! I'm so sorry!
My DH deleted our video from the hospital coming home with our 1st. I was pissed cause I waited during black Friday for the camera...pregnant 
BUT 4 1/2 years later & I'm over it. I seem to look at photos more anyway.
You'll just have to take more video

So sorry i know it must be upsetting...and then to have your lil one crying on top of it. Just take a step back and remember she is only 12 weeks old ...your are going to have so many many more firsts....i know you cant get these back but ...and it may not seem like it now but you will laugh or at least joke about it one day down the road.
Def don't shut the monitor off you will wanna hear her god forbid she needs you..just lower it a lil and take a bath or something to relax and calm you down a lil .
Call the manufacture tomorrow don't play with the camera any more tonight maybe they can do something that you can't find online..

Thanks I would never shut off the monitor actually I am calm with her, DH has no patience. Cause he doesnt know what to do.
Knowing that shes just needing some cuddle comforting and 5 min and she was out cold. Men...
I am sure he will never do that again and does feel bad. gonna sleep on it and start fresh tomorrow with new video.

Aww im glad she is back to sleep for you ...she just wanted mommy time and to try to get your mind off the other stuff ...they know lol. I read my post i didn't mean for it to come off like that i wasn't meaning to step back shes only 12weeks like you were gonna do something to her ...that sounded horrible when i reread it lol sorry ...i meant you will have so many more first and wonderful moments to treasure...sorry if it came off wrong.
Im sure your wonderful with her hubby too...look how upset you guys got over a video ....that is love .

No I didnt take that wrong. I actually think that was good advice cause it can be frustrating and the last thing you want to do is something that can hurt the baby. Im sure it happens alot ( i work in hosp. and see it all the time).
